In the end Josh Kennedy has more premiership medals than Liam Jones and the rest of the Carlton Football Club for the past 20 years so it all worked out in the end. Will end up as possibly the greatest trade we ever made since foundation - Chris who?

Looking at that list you feel so happy players like Schoey , JK, Lecra & Hurn won a flag after being around from the 08 dark days but then feel for players like Pridda, EMac and Rosa who missed out but were part of that rebuild culture.

The trade was a typically short term move from Carlton really. Most Carlton supporters have no regrets over the trade because it brought them off the canvas, but it was a short term solution. They got good again for 3-4 years off the back of him, peaking at a semi final loss, before sinking back to the bottom almost instantly when he left. It solved nothing.

There were so many players I was convinced would be the next big thing, playing 150 games for the club that this thread reminded me only played 15 or so.
