Review 2020 Draft General Discussion

Sorry for the misunderstanding not a scout, just been watching him from his junior footy days.
So parent of a team mate? Or something similar.

We’re always curious when a new member jumps in to defend a kid, so always like a little context.

We do have quite a few members here who follow certain teams, or a team, and give us good intel about kids coming through, and weekly updates during the season, etc.

We don’t mind a little bias, as long as we’re aware of it.

And we’re always appreciative of more posters sharing their scouting reports.

As we're in the midst of pre-season training, I daresay that all U18 squads are getting finalised and waiting for their leagues' respective seasons to start.
I’m waiting to see how they select the Australian U18 team to play against one of the VFL sides this year, with no national academy.

i watched the metro country game live but thought someone wouldve uploaded the carnival games to youtube by now. The female carnivals always seemed to get released.
There is no female U16 carnival so you must be seeing the girls U18 which is sometimes televised like the boys.

Early days but Denver Grainger-Barras would be the perfect fit for the Suns as a high quality KPD. Exactly what the Suns need and would compliment the likes of King, Lukosius, Rankine, Rowell and Anderson perfectly.

Denver, Tanner, Reef, and Braeden all in top 10 calculations, and there's also a Coopa and a Deakyn in draft contention. Worse than Chayce and Rhylee in the 2018 draft. What awful, awful names.
You do know names can come from other languages besides English right?

Chayce is a French name.

Denver and Rhylee were originally girls names.

Riley and Chase are names. Rhylee and Chayce are deliberate misspellings to look unique.
So what was the original spelling of Riley? Language of origin and pronunciation?

Just because Riley was anglicised a couple of centuries ago, doesn’t make it the “correct” spelling of the name. Variation is acceptable.

Languages, words and names change over time.

Chayce and Rhylee aren’t unique to two AFL players.

Nor are deliberate misspellings unique to the current or recent generations.

Anybody else needing for the football season to start? ;)

Potential #1 pick Elijah Hollands appears to have done his knee.

Horrendous if true. Was so looking forward to seeing what he could do this year.
