1. Steve Smith (speaks for itself - 2nd best bat to bradman along with ponting/g.chappell)
2. Pat Cummins (speaks for itself - stands alongside lillee/mcgrath if he continues at current rate)
3. Dave Warner (plays all 3 forms, but may well retire from a format in the next year or two)
4. Marnus Labuschagne (young gun and has stepped up in the last 12 months)
5. Mitchell Starc (white ball specialist)
6. Nathan Lyon (very reliant on him as no spinner currently worthy if he breaks down)
7. Aaron Finch (captain in white ball format)
8. Alex Carey (test keeper in waiting and has leadership skills)
9. Josh Hazlewood (mr consistent and picked in all forms when available)
10. Tim Paine (test captain)
11. Glenn Maxwell (may well be the X factor and assist us in winning the only trophy that eludes us - the 20/20 world cup)
12. Travis Head (still young and may be a wise head with Marnus as the others retire)

to be considered the most valuable I would think that you need to be a walk up start in at least two formats of the game. The only exception is Payne as he is our national cricket captain.

Mine would be as of today. Will change considerably in the next 12 months.

1. Tim Payne
2. Steve Smith
3. Marnus Labuschagne
4. Nathan Lyon
5. David Warner
6. Mitchell Starc
7. Josh Hazlewood
8. Aaron Finch
9. Pat cummins
10. mathew Wade
11. Kayne Richardson
12. Travis Head

good list, although i'm not sure how important wade is these days, given his age etc.
wade only plays test cricket these days and hasn't played an odi for 2 and a half years and a T20I for 3 and a half years.

we have guys like carey and phillippe in waiting with the gloves and plenty of young batsmen, given the chance to average more than him with the bat.

Agree, Wade falls into the Stoinis, Maxwell, range that are only in one side at the moment. As he plays tests I put him in.
In my Opinion Inglis will pass all those guys for the next Keeper Batsman spot in tests and ODI and probs 20/20 as well. He has some work to do still in the longer formats though.
