Freo did 100,000 trades that period but there's a very good chance they could have gone to the draft with 5 and 6 and walked away with Ben King and Bailey Smith. Instead they turned those picks into a bunch of later picked guys, Hogan and Lobb. Too cute by far.

They remind me of the crows. Grand final appearance with a decent list including some stars. Both clubs perform some smart recruitment - crows with strong drafting, freo with some canny trading.

In freo's case even manage to coax some talented guys home (Hill, Hogan, Lobb, Wilson et al).

Yet somehow it all imploded and both clubs went to s**t for a period there.

Haven't been following Higgins' progress closely, TBH.
I am sure he would be keen to play but like McCartin at St Kilda, medical opinion should be paramount.
I guess you have to plan for all scenarios.
There is no shame if Jack walks away on advice.
