Not at all. I hate losing to this rabble, I just know s**t when I see it and this is certainly the weakest top side attack in a while.

They won like 4 shield games with all or a portion of the test attack playing
Fair point, but Conway has also had a brilliant season so far, that cannot be denied. Trent Copeland has been ultra consistent for a long time now, 350+ wickets over 90-odd games with an average in the mid 20's is nothing to be sneezed at.

Their attack is certainly no worse than ours on the form Boland and Tremain have shown this year. Plus our #1 spinner is a 17 year old with 6 wickets in Grade Cricket this year...

About time we got Dean back in the side he should be playing for Australia
There's a reason why he isn't.
2016-17: averaged 34.95, 4 scores over 50 in 20 innings
2017-18: averaged 27.78, 2 scores over 50 in 18 innings
2018-19: averaged 20.22, 3 scores over 50 in 19 innings

Just what we need, get him in right now.

Why do you think they picked the lad with only 6 wickets? Apparently had 30 bats at average of 19. Not huge numbers.

Because he performed for the second XI last week and the 6 wickets is only premier cricket.

Bowled well today it seems, sometimes selectors see more than stats and not a bad first wicket to get the next Bradman out. Not only bamboozled KP but the commentators who had no idea what happened

Mate, if we went on 2nd XI form Alavi would be well ahead. If he wasn't a gun footballer he would be nowhere near the side.

Can he turn the ball if a leggie can spin the bloody thing he would jump every spinner as none other than Lyon turn it

Don't look like he spins it and would love to see how fast he is bowling....and his Oldman I think he was 16 or 17 in his first game for the vics

What sort of total will we need to bludgeon to set up the game? 200?
Depends how far in front we are. We should be able to get ~350 ahead with half an hour to bowl at them.
