AFL players to take pay cuts in order to carry the AFLW?

Still struggling with the language? I think you will find it is incoherently though I suppose non coherently works.

Perhaps you might have prefaced your second sentence with the words, "In my opinion". Try this, being my way of getting my point across.

In my opinion most think that the product is good, is improving and should definitely be played at the highest point.

From its beginnings 4 years ago, the standard has definitely improved. Yesterday we saw the North girls implementing an improving game plan, and to a lesser extent, so too the GWS girls. They will get better incrementally, rest assured and we will eventually see a competition that will be as thrilling and of a similar skill standard to that of the AFLM competition.

I rather suspect that players representing the VFAM/VFLM competitions, in their formative years, also struggled "at the highest level".

Sage question B4B. There are clearly a few SkyNews wannabees on this board given their penchant for jewels like "wokeness", "virtual signalling" and "echo chamber". Here's another - "bedwetters" . Because you see B4B the whole premise of this thread is "bedwetting" 101. While the women's game is far from elite, it is here to stay with its participants making up roughly 50% of the population. It will get better and it will stand financially on its two feet. A small Club such as ours should, and is wisely, taking every opportunity to expand our supporter and membership base. There are no downsides unless you're intimidated by women of course.

There is a very entertaining game taking place at Kardinia Park at the present. Well worth a look and surprise, surprise, a number of Geelong AFLM players in attendance.
Watching carlton collingwood at princes park now too, great contest.

Yes I posted non coherently 🙄. Most know the product is poor and should never have reached the highest level.
Pretty rich for you to be talking about a poor product given your club's performance for most of the last 50 years. I bet there's 22 2017 premiership players happy the same standard wasn't applied to your club. Glass houses stuff

Walked down the local coffee shop, saw the Hun on a table whilst waiting and turned it straight over to start at the back. Girls in the royal blue and white on the back page and a couple pages on them inaide the sport section. As a smaller club, I personally think positive media like that is a good thing. Anyway, carry on.

Gee you really are posting non sensible dribble. I was saying the product was bad in regards to standards of the basics like kicking scoring and general skill level, the bringing up the team I follow or any AFL side into the converstation for that matter shows you are just replying back with no clue about the things I mentioned I disliked about it. Move on.

Although naturally it was going to improve to a certain degree your wrong, most people from what I gather from here in people I speak to can't stand the product. And I did not need to write imo, because me saying the product is bad is naturally my own opinion.

Your blokes team gets a s**t tonne of coverage for a pack of whinging pant wetting sooks that only wins a flag once a century.

Piss off back to your own board.
Don't throw stones champ when you follow the club you do. I'm allowed to write I don't like a product, and I do so without caring that a person like you sooks when I do so. Chug along champ.

As in have them affiliated with Men's AFL clubs. Have it build up more in the suburban leagues like what they were doing. The skill level is dreadful.

You've made your point and have done so while insulting North posters on the North board. Take it elsewhere - you've outstayed your welcome

Another incomprehensible post. If you haven't already, mods, please send this flog on his or her way.

I remember when the AFLW was invented, my first concern was how does the AFL pay the men and women equally like they do at Wimpleton? And it appears my fears have been indicated.

But then you see North Melbournes own Katy Lang pump out Alleluia at the Fire Fight Concert, it makes everything seem so real.

I’ve never been one toot my own horn, but I sent the Red Cross a blank cheque over the XMAS break. It hasn’t been cashed as yet, but I assume they’ll soon get it. And then to watch Darryl (that’s what me and my mates call him) sing The Houses, makes you realise that it should be our national anthem for Australia.

Anyway, I remember taking a significant pay cut in the mid-80’s to help fund the local tennis circuit convert from wooden to metal racquets. And to this day, I have never received a “Thanks Clokey” or “You’re a top bloke Clokey”. But that’s not why I did it. It was mainly to get some tax relief, because I was paying 6 figure tax back then, which was nothing to be sneezed at in my book.

Back on the original topic, Caro has chimed in.
Might be some editorializing in the title of the article as I can't see a quote from Wilson saying the men will have a smaller cap to accommodate more money for the AFLW but who knows.

Seems the ones pushing this are at HQ. Is this just grandstanding by players and the league leading into the next rights and agreements? We know the players association is actually pushing for shorter games (https://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/...s/news-story/c1268759a69eb0076d7f68dc552326f9) to give the players career longevity but this would affect the value of broadcast rights, so is the AFL pushing this angle to take away some of the men's bargaining power?

I’ve been banging on about this for a few weeks now. This is the major benefit to the club thus far. The North AFLW team seem to be media darlings. That’s something that the club has been craving and Ben Buckley et al should do everything in their power to take advantage of it.

So the forum is woke now because they support the women’s team? Jesus Christ!

Not hating women with the venom and aggression of a cornered rattlesnake is now "woke".
