Yep, Seems west coast are motivated to beat Freo in each derby.

Your mob dont take losing to Freo well. Losing a match to Freo is like an unwashable poo stain in your underpants: It stinks and its hard to clean off.

Hence why you have 20 pieces of poo stains in your blue and yellow Budgie smugglers.

Yeah, you beat us in the 1st derby in 1995, you won the last derby at subiaco in 2017 and the 1st derby in Perth in 2018.

But Freo can claim the 1st AFLW derby win.
 
It may be personal bias but I rate our list above these two, I have confidence that Longmuir can be the right guy to take the team back into the top 8 but i don't think that's this year. Are we a top 8 side right now? Not at all, but we're building towards it. I just can't see St Kilda living up to expectations but I could see Sydney jumping back up there if everything goes right.

Yep I rate your new coach (especially over Lyon) you should be able to start enjoy watching footy again. Not sure what expectations re the Saints you are referring to, most Saints supporters are realistic about where the club is at ie lots of positive stuff both on and off the field but realise this time of year wins do not occur. The positive of some of the recruits for the Saints is that it takes some pressure for players like Billings to be able to be consistent on the other wing etc. Previous trading / drafting is now starting to be a positive for the Saints eg the Omeara trade when we gave them pick 10 with the Hawks gave us Clark, Battle and Long .....gets better every year and Hunter Clark alone is a great get.

Freemantle had some great drafting over the last couple of years and if they can get through their injuries should be competitive. Locking in youngsters like Luke Ryan is a real positive for you.

Very similar Tbh especially Finals / Playoffs run over a long period of time. Pity The Swans don't have the same Premierships / Championships ratio. Spurs 5. Swans 2. Not that the opportunity wasn't there though to do it. GF's 2005-06, 2012, 2014 & 2016. Buddy Franklin is Tim Duncan but John Longmire however is certainly not Greg Popovich.

Well this AFL season has turned to hell. Now I wonder what you, me and your fellow saints supporting mates will do to the next few months.

South Australian Borders are locked off from the rest of the world. Casino is shut, Pubs are shut.

I only have Ross Lyon to cling on to lol.

Ross Lyon is the winner here. Looking back at it now, he should count his lucky stars he got sacked late last year, had he still be coaching freo, he would get sacked and lose 20-25% of his money this season!
 
Its been a crazy year with this Corona Virus.


Saints won 2 game at Adelaide oval this year and are 5 and 3 and in the top 4. Dont think they will finish top 4. 5th to 8th is my prediction.

Swans are 3-5. they won 3 close games, Crows by 3 points, North by 11 and hawks by 7 points. they are better than a 0-8 side.

Freo are 2-5. Beat the crows by 20 points and saints by 6. Again, better than being a 0-8 side. Lost narrowly to essendon by 6 points, Brisbane by 12 points and gold coast by 13. could of got 1 or 2 more wins and be near a finals spot.

I think we've probably snuck under the radar a bit.

Had we not blown 30 or more point leads on two occasions, we would all-things-being-equal be a game clear on top of the ladder right now.

As it is, we've still beaten 3 of the other current top 6 teams, and all by between 26 and 39 points. So we beat them very comfortably.

So it's not like we've just gotten into the top 4 by beating weak teams.

The highest ranked team that Port Adelaide for instance has beaten is currently clinging onto 8th spot. And that was in round one, with that team coming off the wooden spoon.

you also beat richmond, that was the one saints win that suprised me.

Again.... 2020 season is interrupted with this corona virus. So that has thrown a spanner in the motor.

Saints could sneak in with a 10-7 record or 9-8 record with a % of 110%.

Saying that, freo could easily be 5-2.

Not too fussed with freo either way.
