its the dropping the ball not being paid holding the ball and instead being called holding on, its crap and frustrating because sometimes its one thing next minutes its the other one

When the umpires tried to win them the game in the entire a 2nd half it’s rich to have a whinge. Also shut up Montagna who still thinks it’s the old rule and Kelli Underwood’s carry on just because she goes anti-crows because she supports them & wants to be a constant headline creator that makes mountains out of molehills at least that Shiloh Curdis or whatever said it was there.

Also if a teammate takes the ball out of tour hands the correct umpiring call should be a throw. They seem to have forgotten that rule in both the AFL and AFLW.
Yeah it’s consistency that’s out the door and not even from game to game but it seems to change from quarter to quarter within games. Must drive the players nuts.

That last decision was 50/50, but the umpiring is so frustrating at times.
is it incorrect disposal or holding the woman or play on? These are the decisions that you have no clue which way it'll go. A player drops the ball while being tackled and it's called holding the woman? It wouldn't have been holding the woman if the player had correctly disposed of it, but she just drops it. I find it's the male umpires making these bad calls as well.

I think all the other teams have been told to just drop the ball when we tackle them. It is a free kick to the opposition every bloody time. When we do it, BALL screams the umpire with delight.

It wasn't 50/50 because she tried to stop and was turned back inside then went over the line. It was a harsh call, yes, but if she hadn't done that pause moment and had kept moving at full pace over the line it would have been more likely paid as a point. The rule was quoted by Shiloh and it was the right call. So many people who follow, play and commentate on footy actually haven't read the rules.
Will always take a win in Geelong. Umps were just awful - too much inconsistency with our player getting pinged for "holding on too long" with dropped balls not being paid as incorrect disposals as others have already mentioned.
Looking at the stat we thumped them in the clearances, and had a staggering 43-18 inside 50s. Hard to go past Ponter performance in front of goal, with Sarah Allan continuing to be very solid down back – was a play in the third quarter where she came off her man to repel a forward entry which resulted in us winning possession, but an errant handball to space by Campbell that gave up a goal. Thought that Najwa Allen played well, and looks to be finding her feet at this level.
