Goddamn. Beal back to back 50+ point games. And still lose. Team is utterly trash.
Thanks Grunfeld. Signing Porter to a max, trading Oubre with getting practically a rental in Ariza back. Mahinmi to a 10+ a year. Signing Wall to arguably the worst max in NBA right now.
Thank god next year will be a new slate.

He pointed out he feels sorry for him being stuck on that team yet he wanted an extension....

Yeah, but... he deserved an extension.

This isn't like Chris Paul demanding a super-extension at age 33 after one season on the Rockets. Beal was heavily in demand, and could easily have bailed on the team.

Instead he chose to stay loyal to the team that drafted him, a team that is not one of the glamour franchises of the league. It's not his fault that Wall got a max and promptly fell off a cliff, or that Porter got overpaid and was subsequently given away for nothing. Also not his fault that Oubre was given away for a rental, or that Mahinmi was one of several marginal bigs severely overpaid in 2016.

Yeah he chose to stay with the Wiz, but let's not pretend that money was the motivating factor.

Not a fan of retiring numbers honestly.
Today the cavs used a line up using 3 bigs (TT, Love and Nance) for the entire 4th + OT and completely dominated Miami outscoring them by 24.

Fluke or are the cavs a new super team?
Played like a bunch of thugs.....wait

Yeah of course not this is not like CP3 that was ridiculous.

Ah so much so you could argue about loyalty but let's be honest nowdays players know it's just business that's why they are taking the money more and more so than staying loyal. He was in demand that is true.

Then what was the motive? Highly unlikely he stayed because he is loyal. If you're in the nba not trying to win a ring then what are you doing? Back in the 80-90s there was a thing called loyalty but now if you're not chasing rings you're chasing money.
