We're on tentative ground now. I think - on paper - a tougher run home like last year. We need to hit the start of the season in reasonable form and hope to bring a handful back in by the 3/4 mark to make an impact this year.

So the updated injury list would be something along the lines of:

Turner (foot) - 12 to 16 weeks
Polec (foot) - 2 weeks
Ziebell (calf) - ?
Brown (calf) - ?
Davies-Uniake (groin) - ?
Jacobs (sinus/concussion) - ?
EVW (knee) - ?
Perez (knee) - 10 weeks
Bonar (Hamstring) - ?
Cunnington (Hip) - ?
Hayden (Achilles) - 10 weeks
W.Walker (Knee) - available
Tarrant (foot) - available
McGuinness (back) - available
Hall (back spasm) - available

So at this stage we might be able to have about 5-6 blokes unavailable until midseason but none anywhere near the LTI?

And there we have it:

Turner (foot) - 12 to 16 weeks
Davies-Uniake (groin) - ?
Jacobs (sinus/concussion) - ?
EVW (knee) - ?
Perez (knee) - 10 weeks
Hayden (Achilles) - 10 weeks

14% of the list unavailable for the first chunk of the season but somehow no spare list spots. Voila.

So the updated injury list would be something along the lines of:

Turner (foot) - 12 to 16 weeks
Polec (foot) - 2 weeks
Ziebell (calf) - ?
Brown (calf) - ?

Cunnington (Hip) - ?
Hayden (Achilles) - 10 weeks
W.Walker (Knee) - available
Tarrant (foot) - available
McGuinness (back) - available
Hall (back spasm) - available
Polec will be back running next week.

Is W. Walker available? That's good news.

That’s a lot of question marks. We should know what the diagnosis and time frame is

And if clubs lie, they cop a substantial fine

You left out Big Footy NMFC board ( broken hearts ) indefinite.

I read today that his scan came back clear, so should be available.
That was what's reported.

Remove him, Polec who's playing Monday, Tarrant and Hall who played the Friday gone. There'd be zero chance Cunnington misses Rd1. Brown and Ziebell are likely to possible rd 1.

All of a sudden it's not so bad.

I did a double take at the word "lions" before realising the odds of Brisbane ever being fined are on par with Prince Andrew not being hit by an unfortunate collision with a beam during a manor house renovation.

only playing a half of footy this week, still a month away from full fitness I would’ve thought
I reckon he is a good chance to play round 1. In fact, given his importance to the side if he gets through the half, and plays some minutes in a VFL praccy perhaps, he will play in round 1 for sure.
