That‘s the head scratcher, isn’t it? It’s unlike an AFL journo to just make stuff up after all...
We live in strange times.

Robinson aside (who has a lower threshold of integrity than anyone) it’s never been known to happen.

The picture is still developing and I think it is too early to be decisive on any front.

Both Pangolins and bats have been mentioned, but the evidence in both cases had some gaps.

Analysis of the DNA of coronavirus samples obtained from pangolins showed a very high correlation with the Receptor Binding Domain in both the pangolin sample and the sample taken from a human victim in Wuhan which was the basis for claims of pangolins playing a role as a vector. The whole genome correlation was low though, around 90%.

Conversely, bat sourced DNA has shown a much higher whole genome correlation at around 96%, but a lower RBD correlation. Neither has a correlation that would be conclusive as pointing to the reservoir of the infection prior to making the jump to humans. They could be, but you would expect the numbers to be higher.

The earlier SARS outbreak in 2002/03 was traced to civets, but for comparison the whole genome correlation was 99.8% and higher for the RBD. We have no candidate yet anywhere near those levels that I have seen reported. So I take the current data as no more than suggestive.

For reference, the following

By contrast, Scientific American is being much less restrained than Nature and fingering the bats, but in these degraded post truth times, its almost getting to the point that Scientific and American are mutually exclusive concepts at least in any publication not subject to international peer review.

Thanks, a lot of great information.
At least the pony’s are off the hook.

I've started a new career as a novelist, as my rock career took a bit of a downward turn after the heady heights of our debut single "Scratch Yourself Venus de Milo".

A story of unrequited love, young passions, obsession, infidelity, light bondage, belly button lint, and a high strung and idealistic young forward realising the true nature of love through suffering, all set against a backdrop of these turbulent times.

I'm calling it "Love in the time of Coronavirus". I'm banking on a Nobel prize for literature.

Any suggestion this is just a slight edit of my slash porn thriller "Fifty Shades of Hay" will result in a visit from my lawyers. And Josh. He can be quite intimidating just not on a football field.

Has anyone tested the ponies?

I bet not.

We may well find ponies are the true reservoir of this virus. We know they are already the source of many unspeakable horrors, including kombucha, Instagram influencers, salted caramel, and Eurovision.

It would be just the sort of thing the ponies would do.
I saw this Pony of Chinese heritage.

My mate, Xi, told me he’s a good or was that a bad Pony.

Corona is worthy opponent but surely even it has it's limitations when confronted with a man who can stop time and evade like no other.

At this early stage you'd assume that the vast majority of people presenting with symptoms will test negative unless they've had contact with a confirmed carrier. It's the start of the cold & flu season after all.

Well that’s a dramatic side effect I wasn’t aware of. I didn’t realise the virus could turn you transparent!
It’s his basketball background that done it.

Good news for him and family.

Oh and us.

I knew there was no need to doubt Sam Edmund. Astounded it took Pendles 24 hours to catch up with the news himself, though.
Testing Pendles caused a rupture in the space/time continuum. He's been patiently waiting for the universe to catch up with him.

Great news about Pendlebury. But if he only had the sniffles as Buckley suggested last night,it was more than likely going to be a routine cold.People who have Coronavirus and other flus usually have a dry cough and a fever, but not a runny nose. It's fairly easy to tell the two conditions apart.

True, a runny nose is a good thing in this day and age.
