I’m stoked that we are (at this stage) on!

now on paper we have the better team. But last year we all remember that middle period where we lacked intensity

I’m really keen to see how we Recover from those moments where we DONT have the momentum this year v last

I was looking forward to attending, but will have to make do with watching on tv. I think we should win comfortably, no Tim Kelly for them and we should be close to full strength

Team thoughts?

Assuming Zac misses I'll go with:

Shaw Davis Cumming
Haynes Taylor Whitfield
Perryman Hopper Kelly
Greene Cameron Langdon
Daniels Himmelberg Finlayson

Jacobs Coniglio De Boer

Green Hately Corr Kennedy

Emerg: Reid Lloyd Caldwell

I think Cummings will be a emerg. tonight with Reid doing a lock down role maybe on Ablett who will rotated with Danger during the game

Freeing up Shaw on the other BP

Reid / Shaw will be given a few weeks, Shaw needs to keep turnovers low as Cummings will be waiting

Going to be tough the start of the season with no reserve grade for players to make a statement it's all going to be shown and effort given on the training paddock for the coaches to see

Looking forward to the line up - going to be some tough calls

Pretty close to my thoughts (maybe slight variation on where they line up) , if Williams available, a tough choice to be made. I d be torn between Hately and Kennedy to miss.
Id also have Ash as an emergency over Reid.
Unlikely, but I d love to find a spot for Caldwell.

So much heat on a alot of them - it's good to have

Once Cummings get in, it will be Ash ready to take his spot

Personally I see Ash is more of a half back flanker providing run and link up.

Cumming to me is the clear Shaw replacement. Very quick and a much better kick in option.

Agree, great problem to have trying to get Ash in the line up

HB : Haynes Taylor Ash

Whitfield on a wing ?

Agreed - I have the same team heading into Sat night

And I like it.

Yep that's where it will end up you'd think. Although apparently according to Champion Data Whitfield has been playing more backline this pre-season.
Mind you once the siren goes to start the game he is like a whippet and makes their forward flank accountable and is all over the park

De boer straight to danger?
Definitely.
Don't think he'll follow him to the forward line, he'll hand off and pick up someone else, possibly Ablett or Duncan

Cumming in :thumbsu:
Whitfield on the wing
Shaw on the bench

Lloyd on other wing

Not sure if Corr or Haynes would take Ablett but he’s named on the bench but doubt start there

Cummings has a crack with Ash waiting to pounce

Expect some changes from the bench to starting line up prior to the game in the final teams

Teams are in, on my phone so cut post

Now im excited for some footy !!

That's a seriously strong side.

Hately terribly stiff to miss but big fan of Lloyd (highly underrated) so no real complaints.

Heater's going to have to fight for his spot it seems.
There must be a few blokes looking over their shoulder. Heater particularly.
