So at this point it is unsourced supposition. We won't find out until later in the year. Richmond fans are fond of joking that they have already tied Moore up, but that flies in the face of the supposed negotitations with Collingwood. Jordy still does not appear to have a manager.

So Tradedraft, the AFL came out today and said that no new contracts are allowed to be lodged until further notice. That probably means until this virus emergency is over. It gives all clubs the chance to target players they may want as no players can be tied up.

Jordy has indicated that he wants to stay a Pie.

Then what Happens if Players Contracts Run Out before they are Allowed to Lodge Papers?

Might as well Close the Whole AFL Down then

The contracts don't expire until at the end of October this year. So if the season was extended after this time, it may still be considered th

The reason for the restriction on new contracts is that right now there is no certainty as to what the reduced player payments will be for this year and certainly beyond.

The CBA is going to be altered to reduce the TPP and there will be wide-reaching ramifications from that.

Maybe best to try to enjoy the footy while we have it. The growth numbers suggest getting to rd 3 will be a miracle.

Ensure that the actual amount of funds in the game is better understood.

Eg if (when) football takes a huge hit maybe all contracts will have an automatic 20% or more deduction.

Once things like this are known can discussions resume.

Virtually guaranteed to see a major spike over the next week or two.

Only have to take a look at your local supermarket, shopping centre (or beach!) to see just how many people are completely ignoring the entire concept of social distancing. We're seeing just how willfully ignorant and self-serving humans can be.
 
The silver lining if this is that Moore and dagoey have less opportunity to explore other options and the lockdown will encourage closer team environment.
