Because so many LNP MPs belong to his organisation; and because they act as bagmen (and, hence, pipers) for the LNP.

So the equivalent of the CFMEU?

The IPA are just another irrelevance to feed left & right nutters with their conspiracy jobs to feed their particular version of hate - the CFMEU arent irrelevant they are players, see the brothers O'Connor.

Sleazy pathetic attempt to deny a bloke pulling his weight.
Is your house on the line, it is for the owners of SMEs, perhaps you consider it.

It's really not that sleazy or pathetic to ask how my annual income compares to Twiggy's. Tone it down a notch champion.

The dumb fu**nuts over at the IPA have already gone off message and turned on the LNP. Knives are out.

You know how mccaulif has those absurd characterisations of pollies etc? Most are more believable that they exist than this android

Tosh Greenslade
Stephen Hall
Roz Hammond
Veronica Milsom
Michelle Brasier
Gideon Rozner

which are the Mad as hall characters and which is the IPA Android?

You have it completely arseabout.

Anyone care to give me this Homo sapiens name?

The CFMEU do not have the presence in newsrooms the IPA does.

It's funny how so many of the objections one side of politics raises against people like Christian Porter, Bridgit Mackenzie, the IPA, only to have the accusation thrown back at them, "You're lot is as bad!'

Except, almost without fail, there's more complexity than the CFMEU = the IPA, and there's a reason why we're actively complaining about it in the moment. You're not stupid, nor are you supposedly partisan, but you need to do a good deal better than saying 'They're all bad, ayyyy'.

All the comments on that video are pretty great, but my favourite is this one:

The Kruger-Dunning effect is in full display here: a chinless wonder in a suit, who's overnight become an infectious diseases expert, telling us, without a hint of irony, that he knows how to get this all fixed in a jiffy.

I think "chinless wonder in a suit" is going to be my new go-to insult.

Ok Bradley. Where have all the pneumonia deaths gone?
This is why we don’t allow a mob mentality like you and your friends Bradley when it comes to justice in Oz.
To your magical land of oz I’m presuming.

The answer is the IPA have no vote in the Liberal Party, thats vote, the CFMEU are involved officially & actively in preselection of candidates & policy.
We all know both parties are influenced by outside groups & its disingenuous to prattle on about the other mob - mind you this is a refuge for the left/right nutters, needing to blame the other mob for their own failures, knowing the mind numb cheerleaders will howl with delight.

I'm sorry, do we actually know that? We have no idea what goes on behind closed doors within the Liberal party, because their preselection/policy processes are not transparent.

And you adore thinking yourself above the common mob too much and too often in public.

As few as 41 votes can get you a pre-selected in a safe Liberal seat here.

I earn too much to get any Centrelink payments - not destitute enough. Single people really get fu** all help from the Government 😞
You know those ads they are running with "we're all in this together"?
Well they are ****ing lying.
I too cant get payment because i have some savings, family of 4.

My partner and I both work in a drug & alcohol service dealing with the public ever day and get paid 3/5 of f-all to do it. We help people whose lives have been torn apart by drugs (including alcohol), violence, and crime and not just the people taking drugs, the people affected by it.

I only work 3 days a week (as this is about as much as I can take and I live quite happily) but this week I realised our daughters partner who is a student living with his parents in a McMansion and paying no rent, board, gets a free use of a car etc now gets paid more than me a week for doing nothing because he lost his part time job pulling beers.

So yay, go working in the social services sector!

Ironies abound. Stay strong.

It's good though that you have a job that helps people and will be even more important in these tough times.

It is indeed. Our service is being inundated at the moment. Everyone is feeling the stress of these uncertain times and a lot of people turn to drugs when times get tough. We're being well looked after in terms of being given a bit of extra leave here and there and constant checking in around our own stress levels.
One of the things I hope might come out of all this in an increased awareness of what types of jobs are actually really important in keeping society together and (although I won't hold my breath) for health industry workers to get paid a bit more fairly in proportion to those who manage money or flip houses/shares.
