Fair enough if they were implementing typical conservative policies like removing banking regulation or selling public monopolies to the private sector.

But a tracking device to help stop a virus? You could not get a more socialist policy if you tried. Personally Im a socialist when it comes to data collection. A lot of good can be done for the people if we have better micro data. Assuming that data is going to the government/public sector.
You're not a socialist when it comes to data collection because that's not an economic system. Please, don't waste my time with your misunderstandings. It's exhausting to reply.

Go make a new thread about socialists not being what you think they are or something. You might get better bites there.

I would think you could turn off Bluetooth while at home and not around other people and that it wouldn't affect the function of the app.
Yeah this is what I'm doing. I've got a basic faith that the govt has sincere motives with this app, but they can shove it up their arse if they reckon I'll let it drain the battery when I'm at home.

I get the moral issues involved with using the COVIDSafe app. But as an individual what is the absolute worst case scenario of your data getting used inappropriately?

Who’s using the data , government or hackers?

Because that’s the other thing that’s overlooked, rushing to get it out are there security issues?

What's your reasoning for being in suburb X when you reside in suburb D. Here's a $1652 fine.

Interesting Sweden insists they are right.
Only time will tell whether the Swedish strategy will pay-off when it comes to long-run health and/or economic outcomes. However, they are starting from a long way back in terms of health outcomes compared to countries like Denmark, Norway, Finland, Austria and Czechia.
