After Life season 2. Short season of 6 episodes but pretty good. Would have liked more opportunities for Ricky to roast people.
The scenes with his brother in the law and the psychiatrist were a little depressing. It was funnier with him and Ricky and Ricky knowing he was full of it.

So I'm a dick - yeah yeah tell us something we dont know

Anyway on another forum they were talking about unusual names in family trees and Ughtred came up .

Then someone mentioned Utred from The Last Kingdom. The next post was ' yeah that came from Bernard Cornwell books'' - i have inhaled most of the Utred stories and so Last Kingdom is on my list and will be watched over the next week

I don't see what the fuss about The Last Dance is, I watched one and a bit and that was enough.
It is a puff piece aimed at Jordon & basketball fans that isn't very interesting to someone like me who has little interest in that sport.

I don't think it would appeal to anyone who hadn't lived through that Bulls streak. I could se how people would just turn it off.

I don’t think it’s a puff piece on Jordan at all. As much as it showcases his greatness, he comes across as someone with a borderline psychopathology- anyone perceived to be a threat (and not by him, by others) needed to be be crushed and humiliated (Dan Majerle, Clyde Drexler). Scarily, you can imagine the upper echelons of big business and politics full of Jordans.

Its a great sports doco, but also a fascinating glimpse of a hyper competitor.

100% this - the biggest takeaway from this is a guy that is clearly the best, he knew it and was relentless in pursuit of extracting every drop of talent. The business world is full of people who believe they are talented that try to do the same but don't have the talent to back them up - this guy is the real deal and its interesting to watch. The recent episodes really showed that his talent, drive and success also hurt his own life by the lack of freedom to do anything outside of basketball (i.e. going from hotel to practice, back to hotel, hotel to game and back). Personally I love this given I was hugely into NBA from about 89 onwards and this is well in my wheelhouse.

I'm loving it. I was primary school age during the Jordan title era. Went from very little interest in bball to loving it. Everybody did. I went off it after the Jordan era though. Probably needs its own thread with all the posts from here added to it.

Bball board has you covered there

I'm just starting Fugitiva, Spanish series. Starts off with quite a bang, and I'm hoping it's in the 'trashy, but fun' category of the wonderful Locked Up, which I heartily recommend. (I watched that ages ago, and not on Netflix. I don't know whether it is on Netflix)
