Watched the Jason McCartney comeback game, round 11 2003 RFC V NMFC. Alway knew that Jason McCartney wore four jumpers, apparently auctioned 3 and kept 1. Interesting that the one he wore in the third quarter was either a long sleeve replica or a 2001 jumper.

Other way around.

Simpson mentioned that he was unsure how the scratch match would proceed as there were less Eagles than Suns (the Suns might not want to wear our jumper). But ultimately common sense prevailed and they got a game in.

Don’t have a photo but some of the port blokes last night seemed to be wearing unfeasibily large shorts (or the printing of the sponsor and club logos were done at the wrong ratio). Motlop Marshall and I think boak at least had this problem

Is it just me or do they look like the shorts with the big Thrifty logo are from a different manufacturer?

It might be lighting but the white looks to be a bit brighter, and would explain the differently proportioned logos

Thanks Cody for the pics!

Possible re the different maker? I would’ve said most blokes wore last year’s. BUT port changed their logo this year and the logo appears consistent. So perhaps a dodgy batch?

I reckon you're right. They seem like generic white shorts with a sponsor hastily pressed on.

I think ISC are having some supply issues, what with the big hold ups at international shipping borders. St Kilda's Instagram account commented the other day that they were planning to sell replicas of the yellow training jumpers but couldn't get the stock together for this year.

That would explain the Port MG situation.
My schools year 12 hoodies were meant to arrive at the school this week but due to the current situation they now not arrive until ETA August 5. The teacher mentioned that they now need to come to Aus via a ship rather than the flights that would have happened previously.

Let me set the scene.

It's January 2006. Four months ago Sydney were winning a drought breaking flag at the MCG after an intense battle with West Coast. They now find themselves playing North Melbourne. In the United States of America.

There was no real point to setting that scene, but look. North in blue numbers.
