That was a classic example that a close game ≠ a good game.

Great game, huge game. Big Season. Can't wait for more.
I never know if you're serious.
Geez it was awful.
Shortened quarters was probably the worst idea ever. The standard was sickening.
Literally anyone could win the flag this year.

At least we'll be spared those pedo half time interviews Hamish does with a junior supporter
Looks like they all kneeled. Would have thought there would have been one naysayer. Wonder how many felt stupid![]()
Why are they kneeling to Coles?
At some point they'll realise that 36 players on the field is too many in an era of professional coaching and athletes. We've been heading for this defensive low scoring gunge for decades I can't see any way out given the coaching ethos & game styles across the league, shortened quarters sure as shit ain't gonna help it.
Is that Eddie or a 60 year old Lesbian?
Nah the skills were poor. Both coaches in their pressers talked about heavy dew conditions having an effect. Remember when a season starts it starts in warm dry weather which helps with skills and scoring. Basically this is the start of a season in winter.Didn't think it was as bad as everyone is saying.
Sure it wasn't great footy but nothing worse than we've seen in the past 2 years. Think the shortens quarters and coming back from a break so it was extra ugly makes it worse in people's heads.
