I have posted it when hewitt was done 2 sets to love that Russell finds it difficult to close out a match.Many many times in the past he has missed from point blank range.This was none different.If hewitt wants to beat Gonzalez or blake (later on), he needs to improve 200%, orelse he will get done in straight sets

Exactly. Ignorance at it's best. I wish these types stayed away at this time of the year, but I guess it's like at Melbourne Cup time. So many ignorant wannabe experts who know jack and wouldnt give a **** about it any other time of the year.

I said myself 2 days ago that it would be a tough match for him. Russell is a good player who has been injury plagued over the years and was finally coming into a tournament at peak condition.

No doubt it would have been difficult.Russell is not a bunny on tour for sure, he is 28 and given plenty of hard time to many a stars.When hewitt was down 63 62 00 ,i predicted (in the whats hewitts excuse this year thread) that hewitt will win this match and i got crucified for that prediction.Rusell has won 4 grand slam matches in 16 appearances.He is pretty successful in challenger level, however he ALWAYS struggles in the main tour. The reason? similar to why some footballers are superstar on sanfl level but cant perform on AFL levels. He is one of the nicest blokes on tour but has big problems in closing out matches. 99 against change he was up 62 64 51 and failed to close it out. 97 against krajicek he was up 26 64 64 53 and couldnt close it out. Last against against monfils he served for the match twice, after being up 2 sets to 1 and couldnt close it out.You can call my prediction a fluke however it was an educated guess.
