There's video of him blowing his nose out on the field, then bumping, handballing etc. This '15minute' rule is really odd. If someone has Corona Virus and sneezes on someone but only spent 1minute with them does that mean they dont need to quarantine?

It's all a bit non sensical/illogical I think. But I guess they've followed the guidelines so I'm just happy everything moves on.

I'd be super nervous to be Carlton players right now though.

If there's no new cases within Essendon based off this incident it'll be based off pure luck and not because they "analyzed the training tape"

Exactly. It's a horrible look. One kid gets sick at a school, they close the whole thing down and tell everyone to isolate. AFL, nah, it's ok, nothing to see here. It's a joke.

???? They close the school down for cleaning and to give time for contact tracing to be done.
That's the same as what has happened at Essendon, plus they also tested everyone so it is even more thorough than a positive case at a school.

I’m not saying it’s a vaccine for COVID-19, it’s evidence that it’s completely feasible to make one. Given it’s a related virus I’m sure the knowledge gained from that has helped significantly in the race to find one.

But why are we stuck at home waiting for results when we get tested if its safe for us to go out and about and have brief contact with others ?

Well all the players were tested yesterday and provided a result this morning (negative) after not training since Saturday, and having all also having negative test results as recently as Friday. They're tested much more heavily than the general population, living under heavier restrictions as dictated by the AFL, and have full video footage of their training sessions.

This direct photo needs to be sent to DHHS, Gil and Vic government and a lengthy statement needs to explain why this is okay

if it's not illegal, then the government can't prevent.

His hands were tied. it's a slippery slope when the government can ban things that aren't against the law for what they thing is the greater good.

And he hasn't told people to stay in their homes. He's asked them to. You are only required to stay in quarantine if you've been tested/are positive for COVID.

Why do regular people have to quarantine for two weeks when they return from overseas / interstate?

Why can't they just take a few tests like the Bombers players to show they are free from the virus?

At least the NSW Government tried. Wasn't successful but they tried. Surely Victoria could have at least tried...plus employed more officers to break up the protest quickly.

He didn't even try. He actually encouraged the protest to proceed by declaring no-one would be fined. Then made a show of trying to discourage it at the last minute when it was all too late.
