Think it's 4 games he's been missing for this year
At least today he seemed to have a excuse with some sort of injury as he wasn't right, and only played 50% of game time
Atkins was good against the Hawks

It was far from his best game, but he looked more settled than last weekhe wasn't too bad
17 touches, 5 marks, couple clearances
hopefully this is just the start of him getting better
Here is an idea. We dont need another defender. Play an extra attacking player.
I know its out there.

I could believe that Steven had it 17 times (even if just momentarily), but if the stats say he had 17 disposals, they're complete bullshit.Sometimes possession total can be deceiving.
13 disposals (5 kicks/8 handballs) & 2 goals?Atkins was good against the Hawks
I was.Steven must have played well in the first half?no one calling for his head
Clarko has cursed us the twit.
We looked the goods against the dawks and have promptly turned into an old mouldy sandwich.
And so around and around we go.
More of the same next week, with the hope of a different result.

Seems Clark has been training with the defensive unit - hard to know though where they see him long term
it was a great tackle..atkins had 1 touch and 1 tackle???
Kudos on a nuanced opinion on BigFooty. And I agree. Two things can be true at once:
Thing 1: The brand of footy we played today was dire, unattractive, and won't stand up in finals.
Thing 2: Today was a tactical win for Chris Scott. He set up to negate Melbourne and it worked. Someone in the matchday thread said "we have no way to defend against quick plays", which made me laugh, because if anything defending against quick plays is the one and only thing we're doing at a high level at the moment. Our whole game plan today was built around it. I'm not saying I like that of course.
Anyway, something needs to change because we ain't a good team at the moment.
No he is a total ****wit of a coachScott decided, as he did last year, that playing flee flowing, attacking footy that results in a good win is not the right recipe for us. He’s a genius.
With three first-round picks in the 2020 draft, this just might be the year to tank.
probably a rib from that shoulder last week when he marked and goaledI didn't like dropping Narkle but Atkins was pretty clearly injured early. Was moving at a quarter pace.
Not the first young player Scott will have ruined by playing him out of his natural position. So they want to change his mindset as an attacking player to one like tbat of a defender??
Figures. You can't have players willy nilly running straight lines and driving the ball forward can you? That might move the ball too quickly.
True, they'll have to base it on what they saw last year. How would you know who to draft this year?
No one is playing due to C19
