Kicked 6 goals apparently against the Crows last week, and kicked 2 yesterday in the scratch against Freo. How's Rankine tracking? Close to breaking into the 22?
Awesome. Think he could take GC to that next level and really challenge the top sides.Kicked 6 goals apparently against the Crows last week, and kicked 2 yesterday in the scratch against Freo.
Dewy said there will be a conversation around him this week. He would be very close

Not that GC aren't playing well, just know there's another gear to go up as team's settle into the season.

Coach’s Comments: Scratch Match Week 4
Gold Coast’s non-selected AFL players continue to put pressure on selection with another strong performance against non-selected Fremantle and Port Adelaide players on Saturday morning.www.goldcoastfc.com.au
Izak Rankine:
It was Izak’s second game back this week and he played close to full game-time in his forward role. He was very lively around the ball and was able to kick 3.2 on the back of some outstanding positioning and crumbing at ground level. He was also very good defensively and put pressure on the Fremantle defenders.
oh baby he has to be close to a debut

Malcolm Rosas Jnr:
Mally has been building his match fitness in recent weeks and was on limited game-time again this weekend. When he was given the opportunity he was extremely dangerous in our forward half and created a number of opportunities with his great defensive pressure. We’re looking forward to Mally building on this in the coming weeks.
But it wasn’t just Farrar, he was complemented with some more exciting football from Malcolm Rosas Jnr. The SUNS rookie’s highlight of the day was a smooth pickup outside 50, followed by a sidestep and some blistering speed off the mark to race into an open goal after three bounces, easily distancing himself from his opponent.
Arguably one of the best players afield today was Jy Farrar. The dynamic forward was involved in everything and had some terrific individual efforts. Farrar was electric at times and showed plenty of footy smarts, at one stage tapping the ball on to a teammate’s advantage for a goal. He was just as impactful in defence, hunting the opposition with intent and winning another impressive holding the ball free kick. He finished the day with three goals himself in his best performance in the red and gold to date.
Feel like Farrar has the potential to be a good icing on the cake kind of player.Look at who excelled in the scratch match against Freo today.
16 v 16
Gold Coast won the free-flowing contest 12.11 (83) to 11.4 (70)
I always said that Mally has Rankine's moves.
Farrar should be on 2 years contract. I saw him in one preseason NEAFL game. He got some serious speed. It looks like he is putting it together.

No Flanders report again. He must be injured.
Brodie beaten at stoppages? WTF.

Flanders was not in Sydney as far as I know.Flanders was in Sydney, no?
Good to hear about Brodie getting involved up forward. 9 score involvements is decent. He has been asked to work on getting more involved outside of the centre square and it looks like that’s what he’s done.
We know what he can do in the middle and Brisbane’s reserve midfield are no slouches either.
We should start getting to work on a cool nickname for that group for when the time comes.Good to see Mally amongst the goals with four. Our forward line will be like lightning when we can get Izak, Benny and Mally all together.
He'll have to make big leaps to get over Izzie, Benny and Sexy, but great he's there developing and putting future pressure on the small forwardsGood to see Mally amongst the goals with four. Our forward line will be like lightning when we can get Izak, Benny and Mally all together.
