someone like Bruhn? in this hypothetical the melts if we selected Bruhn over McDonald/O’Driscoll/Trew could genuinely break BF
Can’t see someone like him going above McDonald now and yes, Hiroshima would have nothing on the Freo board melts

The Melbourne finishing position will be key. If north have 2 picks ahead of us they will hardly let him past those picks. Cox from Vic metro is highly rated by some too. Alex Davies from the GC academy is rated pretty highly as a top 10 NSW/QLD prospect.
Oh wait.
They get to add him to their rookie list for free and skip the draft. Thanks Gill.

They are talking about Logan as a possible Pick 1 now on the main draft and trading board!!!
Some saying Adelaide could take him instead of Thilthorpe!
I read that but I think the opportunity to take their own home grown KPF (who has been impressive himself at League) would be too great to pass up. Also, they are moronic if they don’t bid on JUH with pick 1

First round pick swap and a second back to us for Tabs should keep us in contention. If we want McDonald with a team in front of us.

Still plenty to play out in 2020

I think Callow could almost be a cult figure...dare I say it - in the vein of a Kepler!!
Well we need a power forward, presence in the forward half.
Tabs is good on the lead, Hogan
another roaming natural player.
Callow would straighten us up and let the others play their game.
I don’t think you can look at forward lines individually, but as a whole.
The Messiah picks, trades have not done us any favours.

15 disposals 4 straight 6 contested marks. Goals from tight snaps and outside 50. Showing more than Thilthorpe at same level and more than JUH ever has.

Get it right and your a legend, wrong. Polak over Hodge, Judd. Tambling over Roughhead, Buddy. Watts over NN.

Chris do the Crows mould the shape of this draft? They have pick 1, 8, 20, and the Bulldogs need points.
Probably the best year to get the spoon, and they have taken KP's recently.
What's the feel in SA?

The good judges had McDonald as a top 10 pick from the start. The rest are just scrambling now.

Personal preference, I do still prefer DGB though.
Thilthorpe, JUH, DGB, McDonald and Callow seem to be an outstanding group of talls in the one draft. That looks like 50% of the top 10 potentially going on talls, and not “3rd” talls but genuine KPPs for the most part. If we miss, then we are in line for a top of the wozza mid.

Knightmare and a couple of Others didn’t even have Mcdonald in their top 20. Trew is the first WA player picked at 14 in KM rankings. He has Finley McRae at 3.

With Adelaide taking McAsey last year they need to throw everything at the dog shit midfield IMO.

I think given the injury crisis we have, I see us as bottom 4 at best. Adelaide, North, Sydney, us and Hawthorn will raffle it.
if we’re getting Western and Walker there’s no reason we wouldn’t take one of McDonald, Tilthorpe or DGB

Knightmare is a bit of d&&khead.

Not having any WA players in the top 10, is pretty dumb.

2018 in the under 16's championship both WA and SA destroyed both Victorian teams. If WA kicked straight away SA, we would have won the champs.

Having Trew at 14 shows his lack of knowledge anything out of Victorian or the Northern Academies.

What's the feel in SA?

They absolutely do. They'll also likely have the #2 pick from Brad Crouch compensation.

I think they'll go top rated midfielder and top rated tall forward with their first two picks...so potentially Will Phillips and Riley Thilthorpe. Likely use #8 as a trade piece, maybe look to bring Jackson Hately back from the Giants. And then best available at 20, and finish off with their FS/NGA picks - Luke Edwards (mid/flank), James Borlase (key back) and Tariek Newchurch (small forward). It'd be a nice mix.

Even though they took McAsey and Worrell last year, I expect them to look tall again early. So you can't rule out McDonald. And that's because I think they'll be planning on having the #1 pick again next year and will have pencilled in Jason Horne from SA. He looks every part an elite AFL midfielder with his power and forward ability.

If in the space of two years they can add something like Phillips, Hately, Edwards, Horne and maybe Tom Powell at 20 this draft to the midfield, then they can definitely afford to go tall with their first this year.

Personally, I don't have Callow in that top group. I think he's a second rounder, and I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up as a defender.

Do you think we have any chance of getting McDonald or DBG at this point, and if so, which one would you take first?

Definitely a chance at both, just depends where we finish and how much the points deficit affects us.

The wildcard is Elijah Hollands. But I reckon North will look at DGB. And we're probably lucky that Hawthorn's midfield is just as bad as their forward line, because their tall forwards are all pretty average and McDonald would be an improvement. The other one to consider is Sydney, if Tom Papley wants a trade again then they could end up with multiple top 10 picks. So they could go with a tall early too.

1. Bulldogs (bid) - Ugle Hagan
2. Adelaide - Thilthorpe
3. Adelaide (compo) - Phillips
4. North - DGB
5. Hawthorn - Hollands
6. Sydney - McDonald
7. Fremantle -
