Very selective posting just to support your argument. Schulzenfest post is more reflective of the true position of our list.

Yes. What a dastardly tactic to point out that most of our key guys and the bulk of our salary cap is taken up by guys who are about to receive telegrams from the Queen.

I also think age is a better measure than experience. The Saints have a ton of mature age pickups like Marshall, Butler, Wilkie, Hind, Parker who are already in their mid 20's but who were late starters at AFL level.
Exactly. And I think this is where our list is deficient. We don’t seem to have enough players in that 24

half of your list didn’t even play last night and our not in our best 22.

Also the "we have a hole in our middle age group" is also false, it's not we're investing games into these blokes every week or anything.

Houston
Bonner
Burton
Byrne-Jones
Amon
Wines
Mayes
Clurey
Lycett
McKenzie

All between 23 and 29

There's nothing in football I hate more than a player laying a perfect tackle, his opponent dropping the ball, and the player who laid the tackle (who has absolutely no way of knowing that the ball has been dropped) getting called for holding the man. If I could change the interpretation of one rule, it would be that one.

Do we? We have a lot of young players, but are they any good? We don't know because Ken aint picking them over the geriatric brigade.
Geez. I thought I saw a fair few out there last night. Having said that, I would certainly put a few out to pasture. I think Hoff is cooked and certainly Boaky and Robbie struggled last night. Who of our youngsters who didn’t play last night should have played, in your opinion?

Should be holding the ball every time.

Williams, Bergman, Patmore, Garner, Mead.

Fair enough. More than happy for them to get games.
Now if we played those plus maybe a lienert, we could say we were young, because then we'd be fielding youngsters who aren't all looking like generational talents.

Rozee, Butters, Duursma, Patmore, Williams, Bergman, Georgiades, Mead, Farrell, Marshall, Garner would make up 11 of our 22 if all played together.

Now THAT is a young squad.

Oh dear Dees..50 m penalty and a terrible kick fwd.Brisbane do what good sides do and found a way to win..Melbourne where all over them in the last qtr..But some terrible errors in the 3rd qtr cost them dearly..
If Port don't let the Dees skip away next week..They will probably blow the game if it's close..
