It's not as big a gap in quality as you think anyway as Rich and Birchall in a Richmond jumper over the last few years wouldn't be much different from Houli and Edwards. Martin is probably a better ruck than Nankervis. From there your point stands as Lester and McStay are probably in our bottom half a dozen best 22 players. Regardless having had to replace all these guys in the space of about a week and a half hasn't exactly been easy for the lions. We had a player on debut, another playing his second and another his third.
I still disagree, but I guess the bigger difference then is the players we bring in can cover it, where the Lions lack the depth required to really challenge the best at this stage.

He's a positives first coach which has clearly worked for him given the remarkable rise up the ladder we've had since he took over. Quit taking pot shots and have some class in victory dude. Jesus it's pathetic.

Fagan has a good rep but you need to understand he's tainted it somewhat with Richmond supporters of late.

Claimed to have held something in reserve when well beaten at the MCG. Then took a knee in front of the media to beg for Charlie Charity. And completed the trifecta with an ungraciuous QF presser where he clearly had little understanding of why Brisbane lost.

It's only fair that history has repeated.

Can't play away from the MCG they said...tick.
Can't win interstate......tick.
Streak extends to 15....tick.
Proving the trolls wrong again after writing us off after our round 3 loss to the hawks....lovely.

Asbury, Prestia, Houli, Caddy, Nankervis & Edwards to come into the side. Wowee.
All true. Not sure all those guys would get a game now. Kids awesome!

They made a lot of mistakes that would've been punished by a more experienced side. Port has six or seven 30+ players at the Last Chance Saloon. They've realised it and will be too solid for tonight's 22.

Tigers only worry is they have to keep this form for 10 weeks. Different level ! It’s hard being favorite going into finals. Otherwise tigers too good.

We beat Richmond and we also beat Port in Adelaide.

Write us off at your peril.

You won't win it this year, winning a final should be the goal this year. Will be a good building stone for next season.

Sure it was 2nd v 3rd, but tonight's game wasn't a high standard like e.g. West Coast v Geelong. Lots of water to go under the bridge. 5-6 blokes to return near the end of the season who haven't played much footy and will need to find form right away.

Yeah I understand. It’s the favorite mentality. Need to be aware of the finer details and think of the things that can go pear shaped. But right now tigers are strolling to prelim that they are likely to win. All the best..
