Yikes.

Read through some of her other tweets. Just an angry and sad individual. If she is as close to her brother as she makes herself out to be then theres a fair chance Ben wont play for Australia id say.

Would only take a small carrot dangled by the 76ers to sit out of the Olympics anyway.
I've followed him on twitter since his career started, He's never mentioned his sister ever. Just saying. All Ben has ever said is he wants to play for the Boomers. Bogut's said he's passionate about playing for Australia too.

He also talked Matisse Thybulle into playing for the Boomers. That wouldn't make a lot of sense if he didn't think he would be playing for boomers.

Look like Ben is going to play the 4 at Philly.

Great news for the Boomers Olympic bid especially if Brown stays as coach of Philly. (Id say that is 50/50 at the moment)

Boomers look way better balanced with Ben playing at the 4.

Id actually like to see Exum in the starting five as I still think he could dominate at international level wit his speed and he's still younger than Baynes and Ingles were when they first made the NBA.

Exum should start at the point with Mills, Mattisse, Simmons and Baynes as that would be a wonderful defensive group, super quick and athletic.

That way Ingles comes off the bench to provide scoring and play making. Simmons plays point forward still. Mills stays at the small shooting guard role he dominates in at international level. Exum and Ingles are the ones to bring the ball up to initiate offence. Delly playing a limited role only.

Don’t need exum starting. He’s not a shooter. Already have two capable ball handlers in mills and Simmons. Ingles starts. need shooting.

exum comes off the bench with instructions to push the pace.

^ I agree. Exum & Simmons are incompatible IMO. When Ben is out there you want shooters on the floor with him, which Exum isn't.
In an ideal world Exum is a role player getting minor minutes, injected into the game when we need some energy or to do a defensive job on someone.

Yeah he is well and truly a shooter. He'd now be one of the better ones on the team easily. His form has improved a heap. I follow him and the teams he's played for on twitter for ages. He's been hitting his shots at practice as well as anyone at both Utah and then the Cavs in recent times. Assistant coaches have also said that he's shooting superbly. Just keeps getting injured unfortunately.Had a couple of great shooting games before his last injury.

Mills plays off ball for the Boomers too. He's more like Allen Iverson at international level.

Sorry but the idea that Exum isn't a shooter is outdated rubbish. He'd be one of the quickest players at international level too.

Patty should consider moving to another team if he has the option. Might not play much for the remainder of the season and perhaps next season. Popovich has basically perma-benched him in favour of other players. No minutes in the 3 practice games and not playing in the 1st game. Very disappointing...

Sixers

Mills. Richo. Harris. Ben. Embiid

Maybe cap space issues

Sixers would be a good fit

Pop has never used him to his full potential. So frustrating at times.

Patty seems to be a real team man, so he might actually be okay with the the younger players being given more opportunities to play ahead of him, but he's only 32 this year, so hopefully he won't be satisfied with being potentially phased out in favour of the development of youth.

I haven't been keeping up to date with the situation... What is behind this "unavailability"?

I find it hard to believe that it is simply Pop wanting to put extra minutes into the White/Murray combo and/or seeing if Weatherspoon is any good?

Doesn't make sense at all. Belinelli is older than him. The fact he is announcing in advance that he is not playing Mills suggests to me that something else is going on.

Might work with the Boomers with Mills as starting PG but Simmons at PF isn't really working. He's most effective as a playmaker and at PG he was in career best form, instead he seems to be mainly be a bystander at PF. Hope that Brown changes his mind and plays him in his original position again, or perhaps it may just take a bit more time for him to settle in his new position.

Ideally for the Boomers he'd play the 4 defensively and the 1 offensively to allow Mills to be the 1 defensively and 2 offensively. So:

Attack: Simmons, Mills, Ingles, Thybulle, Baynes
Defence: Mills, Ingles, Thybulle, Simmons, Baynes

Yeah. Was horrible again today

3rd game in a row with no minutes for Patty. :(
Read some quotes the other day from Pop basically saying "We're not winning it this year so save him for next season". Effectively grow the kids and let Mills mentor them.

Not ideal.

Brett Brown has informed Basketball Australia that he will no longer be able to perform his duties as Australian Boomers head coach for the rescheduled Tokyo Olympics.
Due to a change in his personal circumstances over recent months, Brown is unable to commit to the men’s national team Olympic campaign and has made the difficult decision to step down from this role.
