Hey guys I'd like to not be starting this thread, but our club is being run by a bunch of ****ing donkeys and it needs to change.

First of all there is Ed, don't get me wrong he has done a lot of good for the club but no one should be in the position for as long as he has been. I have grown tired of constantly hearing on the news that yet again he has stuck his foot in his mouth again.

Then there is the fact that the club as a whole is being run by a boy's club of mates.

This club should be run a lot more professionally it feels like its run like an amateurs team.

I have zero faith in the recruitment team, the coaching team and the president going forward.

Then there is the question of who do we replace Nathan with. Who in your minds would be the leading candidates to take us to our next flag?

On pure talent and runs on the board it is easy to say we should go after Clarko, however given what he has already achieved at the level I would question his hunger to go again at a different club plus the game might have past him.

Do Kpp actually exist according to our recruitment team, apparently not and I want to know who the F thought it was a good idea to trade in Beams.

They can spin as much shit as they want our injuries massively shot up once we moved to our current training ground and haven't gotten better since.

What can we do as supporters to drive this change?

A review of list management is overdue. As many have pointed out we continue to give games/contracts to past it players or “never was” players that clog up the list. Our drafting has been horrible, all the same types that can’t kick 30m, all small. We have not drafted any KPF and when we have we put him back.

we are a club that has two rucks used as KPF, it really is comical.

Complete overhaul of recruitment for starters. Bucks aint going anywhere till end of next year.. nothing we can do about that... I think it’s clear that 2018 was an outlier much like dogs of 2016, except when it mattered we lost .

how are we reportedly struggling with our salary cap with the list we have?... if we really are, heads need to roll. Anyone wanting big money can leave cause nobody is earning it

We have 3 genuine players missing Howe, degoey, Treloar. IQ, sier are kids are can’t be used as an excuse.

but let’s be honest, with Ed at the top, long overdue changes won’t happen. We won’t make finals, will enter next year with the same holes, finish Bottom 8 again, and then look for a new coach who won’t have pendles, Howe, or Sidey. 2021 looks just as bleak.

Time to play what kids we have, and find out who’s worth keeping.

In response to the topic. We can’t do much at all unfortunately. It is a dictatorship at the top. Prez and board will only make changes when it’s bleeding obvious and too late. We just have to endure. We can only keep paying for memberships and support where we can.

This season is a bit of a free hit for all coaches. You can’t be judged poorly this year for many reasons, so nobody will be getting the sack.
I hope there’s a bit of a shake up with the playing list and the coaching staff at the end of this year. Both are getting a bit stale.

2018 was an outlier? We were a kick off the grand final last year in a game we definitely should have won.

If anything this year is the outlier. You know, the year where we've been asked to play 4 games in 14 days without several of our best and most important players each week. And live out of hubs. And travel from Perth to Brisbane to Adelaide and back to Brisbane again to play games.

I agree on the lack of a key forward. Can't believe we haven't drafted one to develop. Agree Ed needs to go. We don't need the negativity that comes with him anymore. Wouldn't change much else, although if you believe that Bucks is cursed, which there is some evidence mounting to support, we may need a new coach.

Yeah, and it would've been like the WB premiership - win it and then fall off a cliff. Obviously I and everyone else would have been more than happy with that, but it was definitely the outlier. We've got a handful of years where Bucks' teams have underachieved, and basically one year where they've overachieved, and that was immediately after having a fire lit under him by a review that nearly sent him packing.

During Covid Ed's radio show relies on phone lines to conduct interviews and for callers to add to its content.

From 6am on Monday flood the Triple M phone lines until they jam. On Tuesday do it again. Wednesday...well you get the drift.

Maybe that'll snap him out of his slumber and have him contemplating an end to his love affair with our senior coach.

Hopefully at the end of next year when Bucks is out of contract we can get a new coach hopefully Clarko. However I doubt it very much we will probably win our 1st 4 games next year and they will extend his contact for another 2 years and things will turn to crap again

Agree with this - it is hard to say 2018 is the outlier, when we lost by under a goal in the prelim the next year. This year should still be a strong one for us - we just need to make the finals and get our team back together and we can compete. We have had a very tough travel schedule, and this is probably catching up to us.

Having said that, I think that next year is the last of this window, and it doesn't look like we have the foundations for the next one on the list yet. While Stevenson was a terrific draft pick, I wonder whether hindsight would have us drafting Naughton instead now given our absence of key forwards (and how impressive he is). We will take mids with our next two first round picks (McInness and Daicos), and it is tough to get good key forwards outside of the first round. I think the Beams blunder has hurt us a bit in losing those two first round picks, but not getting the inside mid we really wanted.

Let's not kid ourselves about 2019. We were mediocre all season, got in the top 4 off of another team's failure, kicked 2 goals in second half of the QF, then lost to a severely undermanned GWS who played an extra final than us.

Our list isn't that bad. The only problem is we don't have a Pendles or Sidey coming though.

So what change are you suggesting? To a professional amateurs team? To a man's club of acquaintances? To a stable of racehorses rather than donkeys? Are these the suggestions?

Ahh suggestion....Clarko to replace Buckley? Clarkson has a contract with the Hawks.

So this is the change? I would suggest that us supporters should stay clear of anyone saying a lot of words without much substance.

if you say Ed should go, you are also referring to alex waislitz and mark korda who have been on the board for 20 years? yes?

Nup, just Ed. Its unfortunate but he trips up too often and causes more pressure on us. I'd like a president who doesn't put pressure on the players. I'm aware it's not his intent, but he is who he is.

This is what I'm doing....analysis...lol...the value of Home ground (state) advantage and the role injuries play in your win /loss column.
I haven't collated everyone yet but this seems to show SOME advantage to playing at home with as few injured players as you can!
Who would have thought that injuries (or the lack of) and HGA could affect a teams result column? ;)
