Any thoughts on Zach Reid with our Melbourne pick? It looks likely we will miss out on Trew and Cox due to Melbourne's likely 5-8 finish.

Reid has an intercept game like DGB and has the versatility to play ruck and forward at different stages within a game.

Apparently his kicking skills are laser sharp and going by the footage he is quite evasive. He also chases and tackles like a small forward to apply pressure.

yeah North should draft Reid. Maybe could down grade that pick if Reid is to go lower down the draft board and try upgrade 2nd pick to grab Ford. Hollands/Phillips Reid Ford.

The tank will be on for Jason Horne in 2021 out of SA.

Adelaide no doubt devising a way of losing every game next year to get him.

It is about now that Adelaide realise that they can't get him this year and have tanked and still can't get Horne

The funny thing is we all wanted Martin. Ended up with Cunners.

Melbourne have picks 1&2 and takes neither.

What about Tippacuz with a late pick? Saw him in the Melbourne practice match and seemed a type we need. Buzzed around busily, set up a goal and kicked one and provided forward pressure.

It has plenty of talls but also a fair selection of mids too... at this stage I'd say we are ok for talls at both ends... maybe need one more kpd but not if we get one via fa.... and fwd ok unless bbb is traded

You do know that key position 18 year olds aren’t ready to go straight away. Just look at weitering.

If we were specifically looking for a Tarrant replacement, then now is the time. 2-3 years development would align perfectly.

McKay and DGB patrolling the backline in 3 years time would be like Gov and Barass for WCE today.

The Snoz would've had a really good close up look at DGB and McDonald, so if he's excited about their prospects it wouldn't surprise me if we took one.. or even both if we could manufacture a pick swap with someone like Freo who need the points.

I'm aware of that. I think McKay is in there along with Walker and Tarrant. In an ideal world we'd start grooming Tarrants replacement from next year.

Besides I don't think Walker or McKay are absolute long-term locks just yet.

We have already begun that process. I expect Tazz will move in to permanent 2nd KPD roles later next season.

I also don't believe Robbie's career is ending any time soon. He could still be playing in 2024. Good KPD's & Ruckmen have good longevity.

If his form persists, Robbie plays as long as he wants.

I am not suggesting you intimated that mate, I was merely lauding Robbie's greatness and place in our club history.

He's the 2nd best full back I have seen in a North jumper, and the other bloke should have been the AFL TOTC full back.
