I find weird that players aren’t send off, imagine what I think about the MRO.
Send off's sound good in theory, but you only have to look at where we've had players whacked for no free kick, only for the MRO to look at the incident. We'd get players sent off, that later is shown they shouldn't have, whilst the opposition would whack us and 'He played for it!'. I'll stick with the rogering we know.

Amateur league - send offs are yellow card for 10 mins - but player is replaced.

Red card - off for the rest of the game - but player is replaced.
I'm not sure it's like this here, one of them means no replacement player. Probably red but I can't say for sure.

Final update, for now: Given their overwhelmingly positive reception, the spoons are now available to order through my website.

I was expecting backlash, hence my initial hesitation to list them there, but almost everyone appears to have taken them in the light-hearted manner with which they were intended. They are also now providing my little business with a much-needed, but completely unexpected post-COVID boost!

nice... needs a year and the names of all players too... you have two sides to the spoon.

I'd be all for this normally but then I remember how bad AFL umpires are and I get nervous.

Also some leagues it's only 5 minutes.

Agree, giving AFL umpires the ability to send players off would enhance their ability to influence results.

Any of our players that looked to be dominating their opponent would be sent off for some infraction which the video review would later show to be completely unjustified.

...and we seem to be the guinea pig when it comes to rule change implementation.

We have fun with Tex but the Crows shaft him at the end of the year they are more of a soulless pile of shit than even I would have labelled them in the past.

You have to be a real mess where getting rid of a player who isn't up to it anymore is the wrong thing to do for culture.

He's in ordinary form but I'd be looking at their midfield and back 6 before I wrote him of completely. Tex is actually the least of their worries on field. Along with the fact they have absolutely no forward talent coming though.

I think half the issues with him this year are how much his tyres were pumped pre-season. If expectations were managed with 'he still has a role to play for us' etc, it wouldn't be as bad. Instead it was fittest he's ever been, could run through the middle or ruck.

They meant fattest. Fattest he's ever been

I don't think anybody could've predicted he would've reached the heights of 0 AA's, 0 B&F's, 0 Colemans, 0 premierships, and less games for the club than David Mackay, Brent Reilly and Michael Doughty. What an icon.

Less leading goal kickers than Scott Welsh
