Ahhhh Daniel...........enormous skills...........and the brain of a duck.

And fat as a house.

He's lucky he played when he did tbh.

Can you imagine him trying to enforce a defensive press and defensive pressure?

****ing lol.

True but it's interesting he was starting to come on under Pagan in 2002 (as were Teague, Jones, Petrie et al). I suspect that would've continued but Laidley being a young inexperienced coach just couldn't bang his bullshit into line.

******* lol.

It was ALL about Daniel.

It's a pity he didn't have the work ethic of his older brother.

It's interesting Thilthorpe isn't really spoken about, because he's considered a crows lock?

Who would you favour out of Thilthorpe vs JUH if both were available?

JUH.

I like Thilthorp and he's extremely athletic, there's just some caution with ruck/forwards that high in the draft these days.

I prefer a natural forward, but even then, after Boyd, Patton, Schache, McCartin I'm wary of them as well........

The King boys have allayed some fears.....

Make no mistake, if JUH was on the open market, he'd be at Arden St in December if Adelaide hadn't already taken him.

And Lukosius already looking the goods too. Though he's now a defender after being drafted as a forward.

From the eye test the King boys would leave that lot in the dust for athleticism. That's what it's all about now. 6'7 footballer, yawn. 6'7 steeple chaser/high jumper/basketballer, yes please. Obviously the King twins are both footballers and athletes but that's what makes them so rare.

Next draft, from Ghana

East Fremantle prospect Brandon Walker, who is part of Fremantle’s booming Next Generation Academy (NGA) alongside twin brother, Chris. The classy, rebounding half-back has already impressed with his line-breaking speed, astute disposal, and vertical leap when intercepting from defensive 50. After earning All Australian honours at Under 16 level, Walker was a standout for Australia in its annual Under 17 fixture against New Zealand, and went on to become a mainstay for East Fremantle’s WAFL Colts outfit as a bottom-ager.

This year, the 184cm prospect will be looking to break into the West Australian Under 18 starting side having been named in the 2019 squad, while also resuming his climb up the WAFL ranks. He managed the second-best running vertical jump off the left side (94cm) across the nation during preseason, and is sure to showcase much more than just his incredible athleticism once the on-field action returns.

Yeah, but not as good as he looked in the u/18's.

I understand he's a good user and he's nice coming off half back, but he was dubbed the next big thing, was kicking goals for fun in the end of the SANFL season, he was an unbelievable prospect.

I feel like Dew is taking some heat off of him, essentially playing im as a 3rd tall defender for a bit until he builds his body.

I'd be dissapointed if we got Lukosious and he was currently playing as a tall half back flanker, no matter how "alright" he looks.

He has an absolutely outrageous 20m time. I'm sure eDPS can remind me.

He's absolutely rapid. 2.70's I believe.

Would you be disappointed if we gave Comben a run in the backline to find his feet as a senior footballer?

Do you think the King brothers is a good point of reference for who Thilthorp can become? I worry that someone like McDonald, who is on the short side for a modern key forward and not obviously athletic, might not become the guaranteed superstar he would have 20 years ago. The really top-end young key forwards that make it seem to be more the freak athletes (Kings, Naughton) and less the natural forwards (Schache, McCartin, Boyd)...

It's probably a clear top 4 for us at #2 imo.

Hollands, McDonald, Phillips and Thilthorp in no particular order.

Tell me to F-off and look for your write up somewhere in the 92 pages, but I would be interested to hear your take on Phillips. Seems like an absolute animal at the contest - Cunnington with toe.

Would it be completely mad to bid on Campbell at pick 2? Sydney might not match if they have the next pick, but I honestly think he could be the best mid out of this draft. Quick, evasive, fantastic long kick, can take a big mark, got a real mean streak in his game. I'm struggling to see how he won't be a gun.

The definition of a smooth mover. Must bid on.

If we bid on him that means Sydney must take him with their first available pick or he comes to us? Is that correct?
Correct. That's if we stay where we are and they don't get ahead of the pick to select someone before him first.

I’m a massive fan of Campbell. perfect for us with our current mix IMO

I really hope Adelaide select Thilthorpe and take that decision out of our hands.
