I literally just hit half time on Kayo, was feeling great and against my better judgement I checked AFL.com.au and well, that's that

I get the whole 'this is what we need, draft pics etc' thing but losses like these play havoc with team morale

This was an awful result, I'm gutted

This board is a brilliant laugh and quite frankly embarrassing. Opposition teams would be in tears laughing at the garbage posted on this forum this year.

also not saying Cegs was good (he wasn't even close to it) but I really don't think he was beaten by Phillips. Philips didn't take a mark, had half the amount of possessions as Cegs and like 10 less hitouts.

His first three quarters were very ordinary but he actually was quite good in the last, one of the few that tried really hard, its just our mids were completely incapable of winning any contested ball

No i am criticising the team selection... Our mids would be better (slightly) if we had a dominant ruck... Which we would have had with Big Boy actually rucking.

The selection was bad

Clarko has historically not placed much emphasis on ruckmen like he doesn’t rate them so just recruited tall C grade players to fill a role Eg Ceglar but you look at Nik Nat or Grundy these Guys can really influence a game Even if they win most of the tap outs and not much else maybe he should change his thinking .

I hate to say it - after good form for most of the year Hardwick has stunk it up for the last 2-3 games.

Shiels, Ceglar and Wingard were worse.

I guess the one positive is this loss
puts us one step closer to getting McDonald, Phillips or Hollands.

Trend during our 3peat years was for us to fight it out with the opposition for 2-3 quarters then run over the top of them.

I will never understand Clarkos belief and stubbornness in ceglar. Nothing u can do once he’s picked game day but he is bloody awful under any pressure and the need to push McEvoy back because of it ruins continuity in the middle. Play Kosi and let him learn down back but this crap with ceglar is tarnishing Clarkson.

I don't tend to rate them either but the thing is we have a genuinely good ruck in Big Boy and we are not playing him in that position.

I was okay with the experiment earlier in the year. I thought they were both good options and it was a way to try and fit them both in. It failed and Cegs should just be depth that is it.

well i watched the game, just like you, and dont think he was beaten by phillips and used stats to back up my opinion
