We were an average side when Burgoyne, Gibson, and Hale chose us over other clubs.

We just won the flag in 08 when they came across in 09/10.
Plus we had a good mix of great leadership with Hodge and Sammy that would’ve helped them come across.

Yep, be very surprised if he isn't at Geelong next year.
Comes from Warrnambool way, allows him to be close to home and a possible premiership (or H&A champion team).

Did it really destroy his career? Played in 3 grand finals and nearly 200 games. I'd say we toughened him up so he could have a decent career.
