Well, all of them. The kid & the dad for the awful experience, and the perpetrator because he is in hell and I doubt has a clue what he is doing.
Conclusion:This is the abstract. I'd like to see the whole thing...
Abstract
Background:
Neuroimaging studies have just begun to explore the acute effects of psychedelics on large-scale brain networks’ functional organization. Even less is known about the neural correlates of subacute effects taking place days after the psychedelic experience. This study explores the subacute changes of primary sensory brain networks and networks supporting higher-order affective and self-referential functions 24 hours after a single session with the psychedelic ayahuasca.
Methods:
We leveraged task-free functional magnetic resonance imaging data 1 day before and 1 day after a randomized placebo-controlled trial exploring the effects of ayahuasca in naïve healthy participants (21 placebo/22 ayahuasca). We derived intra- and inter-network functional connectivity of the salience, default mode, visual, and sensorimotor networks, and assessed post-session connectivity changes between the ayahuasca and placebo groups. Connectivity changes were associated with Hallucinogen Rating Scale scores assessed during the acute effects.
Results:
Our findings revealed increased anterior cingulate cortex connectivity within the salience network, decreased posterior cingulate cortex connectivity within the default mode network, and increased connectivity between the salience and default mode networks 1 day after the session in the ayahuasca group compared to placebo. Connectivity of primary sensory networks did not differ between groups. Salience network connectivity increases correlated with altered somesthesia scores, decreased default mode network connectivity correlated with altered volition scores, and increased salience default mode network connectivity correlated with altered affect scores.
Conclusion:
These findings provide preliminary evidence for subacute functional changes induced by the psychedelic ayahuasca on higher-order cognitive brain networks that support interoceptive, affective, and self-referential functions.
Nuggets are absolutely clubbing the Clippers.
Yeah re the bold. From a non scientific pov ... Alesteir Crowley did his own tarot deck and in it swords were the suit that ruled science because it was so dependent on dissection, especially to measure things. It was driven by its need to cut things up to seperate them from each other then measure them to see how they fitted together. Conclusion:
These findings provide preliminary evidence for subacute functional changes induced by the psychedelic ayahuasca on higher-order cognitive brain networks that support interoceptive, affective, and self-referential functions.
Duh
Thanks for posting that. I haven't read anything about the particulars other than the above.. but... sometimes reading stuff like this leaves me feeling sort of deflated about science and sad that so many of fhe brightest minds are involved in it. Studies like this seem to be far more able to scratch sciences irresistible itch to dissect and classify, rather than the human need to understand and contextualise. Maybe eventually after many many layers of disection and classification the top notch people involved develop more human knowledge that can then be shared with other super specialised people to form context and understanding, I dunno I've never been anywhere near capable enough to be involved. Anyway.. money going towards default mode network research is one of the best chances I see for science to be involved in any plumbing of the depths of human experience, so there's my pick me up.
I wonder if it was one of those garden gnomes Tef posted the ad for a few years ago.Meanwhile in Mandurah:
‘Out of control’ naked man used gnome to cover genitals

An “out of control” naked man walking along the Dawesville Bypass near local schools and daycare centres with only a garden gnome covering his genitals has been fined for indecent exposure.
Stephen Michael Elliott faced Mandurah Magistrate’s Court last week where he pleaded guilty to indecent acts in public.
Police prosecutor Tamara Read told the court that police received a number of calls on March 3 at about 2.30pm as the 40-year-old walked naked along the bypass.
Sen. Const. Read said when police went to look for the man, they found Elliott naked and sitting on a curb — but weren’t able to identify him.
Sen. Const. Read said Mr Elliott told investigators he was “so high on meth, he was out of control”.
Duty lawyer Francis Allan said the incident occurred after Elliott “fell off the wagon” and that his time at Peel Health Campus was a “wake up call”.
She said he had since become sober and secured a job as a shearer and had not re-offended.
Magistrate Lynette Dias commended Elliott for making changes but said she was concerned about the impact the incident could have had on children, with multiple schools and early learning centres a five minute drive from the Dawesville Bypass.
Ms Dias handed Elliott a $900 fine and costs of $225.90.

Snake going full MAGA was inevitable. Still, its a shame.
Dafaq, I just had a looked at her twitter feed, she just asked for trump to defund public education...Wow, look how clever Kaitlin is.
If she didn't pick on a stupid kid, she might just realise the statement "Trump is racist" is easily proven by facts.
I'd love clever Kaitlin to come to my neck of the woods and try that on.

I don’t even know what to say.. my head hurts.
In typical American style she should sue the system, using that tape as evidence of negligence of education. She’d walk out a multi millionaire. In fairness, the institution that provided Kaitlin's education should probably be defunded.
Sacha Baron Cohen/Bruno comes to mind. Was waiting for her to ask them to give a shotout to Austrian Gay TV at the end.Wonder how many others she interviewed to get someone who couldn't answer.
Kinda reminds me of sam newman talking to people on the street for a laugh, or Avi yemini's selective editing.
