"A switch to the AFL as a Category B rookie would follow the path of former basketballers including Hugh Greenwood, Tom Fullarton, Tom Wilson and Mate Colina who last week signed with Richmond.
Other AFL Category B success stories include Mark Blicavs who switched from athletics and Alex Keath who crossed from cricket. "

He's no Cat B rookie but surely Dean ******* Brogan, the first and likely last player to win both an AFL premiership and NBL championship is worth a mention at some point here too
C4 reckons he is already training with Geelong and that he is athletic but his attitude could be the concern

Yeah, and what about Barnaby French, who crossed from rowing.

So your issue is that the AFL media didn't include a non-Cat B rookie when talking about Cat B rookie success stories?

I mean sure he predates it, but still.

Also remember that Dean Brogan is an NBL championship player in the same vein that Aaron Keating is an AFL Premiership player.

No, as stated my issue is that when talking about former basketballers who have made it in the NBA, surely he notes a mention.

I don't see why you would limit the discussion at cat B rookies, similar to how I dont see why you would limit the discussion to Greek cat B rookies who are called Paul. The focus on the article and indeed the headline is all about his status as a former basketball, not as a cat B rookie.

And how Brogan got his NBL championship is hardly relevant.

A few short weeks ago, Crows fans couldn't wait for the season to be over. Nicks should be sacked, the whole playing list should be delisted, and the entire board given their marching orders.

Now, after wins over 2 of the bottom 4 teams, and a 12th placed Carlton struggling desperately for relevance, they suddenly reckon they can walk on water, and will not only knock off last year's premiers this week, but the future is so bright, the fans need sunglasses.

Here's to a 2017 grand final replay this weekend.

Not sure where this was from - someone tweeted it. Crows have certainly had the stench of death about them for a while...
