What's the recovery time on a fractured cheekbone or eye socket normally?
After it’s reset I’d say the problem will be pain (give him drugs) and the possibility of re-fracture (wear a face mask). I’ve done an eye socket and it hurts but it’s not debilitating. That said I’m pretty sure no doctor is going to recommend you get an elbow in the face two weeks after you have your eye socket reset.

Considering finals were looking unlikely at various stages of the season, it's a Gutsy effort to win our way through. Immense pressure tonight to stand up and get the job done..

Hope Astro and Wallis are OK..

PS - So bloody great to get revenge and kick Melbourne out after they got that dodgy bullshit free to kick us out of the finals that year at the MCG late in the game.. It was that ruck contest when White kicked the goal at the MCG... What a joke that was..

Hunter seemed to be playing directly on Fyfe for at least a good part of the night, and there was only one winner. He drew Fyfe into a couple of ugly high tackles. 2nd best on ground.

Bev was clearly nursing big Tim through a few games before unleashing him in finals. The big man was very good tonight. Darcy is highly rated by some & he's (literally) no pushover at 110Kg. Tim surprised our mids by winning some taps tonight, they were so shocked they couldn't react in time. Primed for finals.

I think Wallis knew straight away he'd done his shoulder by the frustrated way he shoed the trainers away, he was in denial.

Lippa’s first half was champagne. Second half not so much. Bit to like though.

English is very talented in the forward line. Give him a few years of in game reps taking set shots and it could be devastating.

Libba is a maniac. He has this intensity to his attack on the ball and tackling. he neutralised Fyfe a couple times when it was exactly what we needed. His kick in board in the 2nd quarter was the turning point of the game for us too

roarke was brilliantly clean on the outer ring of contests

hunter keeps us in every game. Fitting he kicked the dagger goal.

It’s been a tough year. This is a young team that got off to a shocking start to the year and then had to go live in QLD. What a brilliant effort to go 10-5 after the first two rounds and make the 8. Just as proud as last year.

bevo is imperfect. Our list is imperfect. But they have done all we can expect from them as fans, they have kept fighting all year and made us proud with that fight. Absolutely love this club.

And props to his coaching tonight. He was well and truly moving the magnets and even if all it did was keep us engaged that’s bloody good

Great win – we have now matched last year – onward and upward

Roarke Smith was very good, quick hands
Libba, the Bont, Hunter, Lipinski all good

Does English have any brothers?

Go Dogs :D

Gardner was -1 ranking points at the half and finished on 12. With 3 disposals, 0 marks, 2 clangers.

How does that qualify as pretty good?
Gardner had a few good spoils but yes he does not offer anything offensively. It would be good if he could take a few marks, but then he would need to kick so 2 Clangers from 3 means probably better if he just punches. Unfortunately Cordy was shocking tonight.

Great win especially considering Bont and Macrae only had 20 each and were not their usual influence and B. Smith had average game by his standards but boy did Libba and Hunter step up to the plate, English was outstanding as well. R. Smith decision making is getting better and better and if he can get a good run with injuries will be a regular in the 22.

Good news for the final is that Bont, Macrae and B. Smith don't have two average games in a row so expect them to fire in EF.

Libba's 41 Pressure Acts is a season best and adjusted to 2019 game time would be a league record, and now here is the usual...

Finally for those wondering Gardner did not have a goal kicked on him.
