Noah Gown has been delisted from the bombers. I know some on here were keen on him when he was drafted 2 years ago. Depending on what other things happen he could be someone to look at.
I know most players are delisted for a reason. But he’s still a young player who hasn’t played a game yet so if he was worth a shot then can’t see how that’s changed.

Our AFL team lacks a quality small quick defender and a lively small forward that can convert on the scoreboard and also pressure defenders.

I would priotise these 2 areas before another average paced mid like Crouch or Viney.

Adam Saad or Zac Williams along with the continued progression of Clark should fix the first problem. Would love to have a crack at Tippa, he would be ideal.

Certainly two areas of need. We’ve drafted quite a few small forwards recently but as yet haven’t got one that hits the scoreboard with any reliability. Maybe Tarca or Evans can be that player?

We def need more run and quality kicking out of defence. Clark should help in that regard. Williams would be perfect but would cost a bomb.

Positive news is the Tom Morris is reporting we have secured pick 10. The Shockers deficit from their F/S picks last year and their ladder position this year means that they slide to pick 11.

Bonus
Top 10* baby!

*at least until academy picks smash us back

A lot of negative about Steven
The guy has had 3 or 4 weeks out and has been stabbed
Tough season
I believe he will warm to the equation come finals
Tough little nugget and will give his all
The extra mid allows for moves like Danger up forward without which we would have lost today
Keep him there in my view/

so if you have to delist 10 players ..you keep Steven..?

We don't have numbers yet which must be annoying for the clubs but 38/2/2 would see quite a few go to make room to add at least three thru draft and more if we add mature players ...

I think we have added enough small forwards .. all we need to do is place more focus on score rather than pressure.

what we need to ensure is we have our tall backs sorted. Taylor will go , maybe Henderson too. Is Blitz a back? If he isn't then Im not sure what we look like next year

Some were shouting his plaudits ..there will be several like him once all the delistings happen.

I don't know how Jack Steven is getting a game ahead of players like Narkle, Constable, Fogarty, Close etc . And i don't care what position he plays they are all better than him currently
Jack needs some continuity not a game every 3 weeks. I think he has a lot more upside than say Close who is good for the occasional tackle and goal. Fogarty’s disposal was terrible last week. The other two not in the frame at the minute.

That could be true, than goes with guys like Clarke and Constable in the way give them 1 game and see what they got

Bit odd that of all the players we have been linked with, none are key defenders which looms as our biggest Achilles heel in the finals.

Or rucks ...

I suspect will will pick up someone moneyball style who is ready to play and when it comes to draft it would not surprise us looking at a Reid or Cox..

He was stabbed, but he was back training fairly soon after which suggests it was not a major injury.

I would love to think he could be better, but the horrible truth is that when he gets the ball he seems barely able to kick or handball not least because it's taken so long to make up his mind what to do. it's actually excruciatingly to watch (have had binocs on him four of the last five games). I don't think his fitness has been great; yet it doesn't seem like it's primarily a physical issue.

The Cats perhaps have been trying to shepherd him through a really difficult season but now have themselves in an even more difficult position because it would be cruel to put him into a finals atmosphere and game.

I agree with those that we don't have a young mid who has really hammered the door down as regards selection (I would be tougher than the Cats probably will be with list management of older players) but I just think they probably have to go with Narkle instead of Jack ... Tuohy has become a wing/ forward ... not sure that is really working

Drafting or trading we need a developing ruck (if it's not deKoning) and some sharpish half-forward flankers (if Kennerly or Jarvis don't look viable, and they might well). If we get a ruck then Blitz goes into defence, we also have Schlensog coming through, Jack plays tall and seems to have grown, so I don't see the urgent need for a ley defender, even with Harry and Lachie Henderson likely to go.

Our forward line is heavily dependent on Ablett, Rohan and Hawkins, so I hope the capacity to attack is our focus in recruitment.

I think Bews is being a bit underrated in that comment, agree that Clark is also a very good player and would love to know what happened for him to fall out of favour when he was so important last year. And are you being a little bit hard on Close? I felt he was really missed yesterday, in both defence and crumbing.

Happy for Close to keep developing but don't think he is good enough to help us improve at the moment. Cockatoo could well have been that player but who knows how that will end up.
