Done. It's all over.
In retrospect that was a pretty solid draft top 10.

1. D.Swallow (captain)
2. H.Bennell (26 career Brownlow votes)
3. Sam Day (still playing)
4. Gaff (2 x AA, 200+ games, Grand Finalist B&F)
5. Polec (still playing)
6. Conca (still playing)
7. Caddy (2 x flag)
8. Heppell (captain)
9. Prestia (2 x flag, Flag B&F)
10. Gorringe (Big Brother final 3)

11. T. Lynch (ex-captain, flag)

Maybe only 2-3 elites in that bunch, but all 11 gave something

GC still have 41 on their list after the cull

It will be interesting how many additional rookie spots Gold Coast get that other team won't.

They have unrestricted access to NT players that pre covid you would think they would use rookie spots on.

Do they get the same list size as everyone else?

If its all about $$$ why?

Heater was still in the Giants best 22, and didn't look that bad.

Maybe his big bro will give him a year to help out with all the Kids North will be bring in.

Good drafting from the Wooden Spooners of 2010 - extracting the best player from the top end of the draft despite not getting a pick until #4.

You'd hope that the Roos pick him up for nicks as he will have a lot to offer the club next year.

He might not play every game but his experience for the young ger kids coming through would be extremely valuable.

I think it’ll be an interesting call. He’s not exactly the beard stroking seasoned vet is he?

More likely he will spit the dummy on the field and blast a team mate.

His brother will probably give him a gig though, under the guise of ‘player-coach to save some cash’ most likely.

Do they need to learn how to point at someone else and blame them ??

Why would the Roos pick up Shaw after delisting guys like Macmillan and Pittard? Clearly not the direction that club is going in.

Gold Coast might be his best chance.

He's a lot better than Macmillan or Pittard.

Plus also as mentioned above, nepotism.

Probably got another year in him tops, may as well play on in a leadership capacity on a small wage at North, makes sense.
