Well these for starters.

But hey lets go arrest pregnant women, old women on benchers but don't dare touch BLM protesters or Afghan Families who you know spread the virus.
Yep just as I saw the vision of the tower residents locked in their home under police guard.
This is so ******* ridiculous. CDC has corrected the count. 92% of people dead had co morbidities.
This has about the same death rate symptoms and curve line as a regular influenza season which magically has disappeared.
This is simply a new strain of respiratory illness which is a type of corona virus. As is any other strain that comes out each year.
So, which is it? Can't be both.

I am merely stating if people wish to gather in full knowledge of what is happening they are entitled to accept the risk.
In a liberal democracy, your freedoms extend to the point at which they begin to impede on someone else's; hence, property rights, criminal law, the whole kit and kaboodle. Given how the people you mention are assuming the risk of catching the virus are also assuming that risk for every person they encounter within 14 days, tell me how you think that their rights to assume that risk do not impinge on someone else's rights to not get covid?

Maybe he’s out 20km from home with his Australian flag draped over shoulders, maskless, exercising his rights as a “sovereign citizen.”

No way. For sure he is delivering care packages to aged care homes and providing support to people suffering mental health issues.

China and japan have large negative net external debt. All their government debt is just borrowed from local citizens. Australia on the other hand has close to the largest positive net external debt of all developed economies. Our debt is owned by foreigners. If we print too much money we will end up in an exchange rate crisis. Do you understand this?

Go and bet on it then. Leveraged financial markets are available to anyone today with less than $100 to their name.

Seeds is going to corner the market and launch a good old fashioned speculative attack on the Aussie dollar.

Japan's debt is mainly 'owned' by their central bank. The RBA in Australia is also engaged a money creation and they routinely purchase gov paper in order to keep interest rates low.

The whole rant was pathetic. It’s almost as though you’ve predicated your diatribe on the notion that we’ve all been through this before.

You really think there is time for a court case to determine constitutional authority over things like border closures? We are in the middle of the biggest global health crisis since the Spanish Flu. Our politicians and officials have to make and often unpopular decisions. They’ve got some wrong but more often than not the measures in place have been correct. Right now, nobody gives a fcuk about your civil liberties. Got it, you self-entitled sod?

Then you carry on about mask wearing, completely discounting that new scientific evidence regarding the best way to combat this is coming to hand almost daily. The whole situation is evolving but your thinking hasn’t.

Wind your neck in.

So if Dan Andrews (and all the other bright commentators) were on job seeker during this whole crises do you think that the lock downs would've lasted as long as they have ?

Horses for courses.....

Self-explanatory title. Given the massive stimulus measures taken by governments around the world in response to this pandemic and the measures taken during the GFC, can we finally put the nail in the coffin for hard-line neoliberal economic rationalism that some still pretend is in force?

Well done to governments taking steps to protect people and the economy.

It will work...

Until the money runs out

That is how socialism always works out

just like every flu season you utter crumpet - yep every flu season you have thousands of doctors and nurses dying of the flu as well

Problem with that argument is for example in the IS there have been no excess deaths. CDC website has the total count month by month.
Not much of a pandemic when less people are on track to die in 2020 than in 2019 and 2018. Where all these mass graves being filled and not from stock footage.

2 things the people they encounter are there voluntarily. So anyone mixing is assuming risk. You need to be in sustained close contact to catch a virus.
Second I don't know anyone has a right not to get sick. You assume the risk of coming into contact with anybody not just from covid. What you are protected from is the right from deliberate infection from the wreckless actions of others.
Unless you can prove someone is coughing or spluttering over someone else on purpose with intent criminalising people from going about life with a virus with a 99% plus survival rate is ridiculous.
Finally in Australia at least others don't owe you the right of medical disclosure. As long as you take reasonable care. Someone you are intimate with may have an STD for example but are not bound to disclosure. They only need not deliberately spread it.
Also if most people are symptomless and have no reason to believe themselves to be sick who are they endangering? Balance is out of whack.
Didn't see this in my notifications. But as long as due care is taken and you are not deliberately contaminated play on. The law grants protections but not absolution of all risk.
Rest of the comments below are just left right or some other strawman bullshit that makes zero sense

That clown was always going to vanish. His libertarian crap just does not stand up to even the most basic scrutiny. His position is indefensible and he has crawled back under his rock.
Answered for you pal. Strange how the weather has improved and we are down to 0 cases with everyone gathering. But hey must be endangering everyone and be potential murderous out there. You and the other paranoid can keep rocking up to Coles in biohazard suits.
Time to enjoy the sun. Inevitably when next winter hits and people get sick as they do every year we can re lock and go through this same crap again.

i see youve skipped right over the 1200 healthcare workers who have died from it this year

totally normal.

heres your morgue trucks from the 3rd wave:

heres the 2nd wave :

heres the first wave:

heres italy :

<< Coffins awaiting burial are lining up in churches and the corpses of those who died at home are being kept in sealed-off rooms for days as funeral services struggle to cope in Bergamo, the Italian province hardest hit by the coronavirus pandemic>>>

all totally normal

just like every flu season

So in a pandemic surely overall deaths would increase. This hasn't happened. Why?

Italian death rates
10.47 2018
10.56 2019
10.64 2020
0.8 % increase each year

US 3.9 million deaths 2018
3.8 2019
3.6 approx 2020
No excess deaths of any great significance
Even Sweden has 77k deaths in total this year was 92k in 2018. Can't link on phone from CDC site and statistics. Can't get rid of this weird underline either not there for any reason
