Its what I was thinking actually. And we have seen how that can play out with Daniher. So yes that an option...but I think if we offered a pumped to the max two year deal ..its two years still there on huge dollars .. and we might be back here next year with GWS wanting to trade him.

It could be really interesting ..if we hold hard ..and they hold hard... where it lands. If we walk away after offering a big contract and they match.. it their cap thats affected not ours. If they decide not to match we adjust other contracts for two years ..and balance it in 2023..

Totally agree. I remember expressing my concern that introducing FA would result in haves and have nots. It has played out precisely that way. I think we’ve got to look at ways to open things up for the have-nots, eg. Additional salary cap.

Believe that is the case which is "fair enough" as they didn't actually get any on field benefit from his first year there.

My issue is that 10 years is too long to become a FA. Most players are exiting their prime at that stage.
