It was time to do that years ago.

In fairness, it was the Qatar Airport Authority (not the airline) that was responsible for this latest disgrace. But they're all ultimately owned by the Qatari Royal Family.

If ever a sponsor was at complete odds with a club's stated values, its this one.

This issue got Bruce in quite a deal of trouble from Brenda in the Balnarring household this morning. Bruce was insufficiently shocked.

Bruce tried to point out that he’d been banging on about Qatar’s human rights record for years following the World Cup scandal but it fell on deaf ears.

Bruce clearly doesn’t care enough about women’s issues.

That is quite an intelligent 6 year old daughter you were debating there.

Sounds pretty scary. Delayed on tarmac for few hours, then women removed to locked ambulances, not made aware of reason or the baby connection, not given English, driven outside airport then subjected to invasive vaginal exam/stripsearch. Or so I read. Some people (whether confused or contextually cognisant) wouldn’t be able to handle something like that, and not a good look for a regional airport hub. Qatar authorities appropriately owning up to mistake and rectifying, but still a travel nightmare.
