Well, no one has proven you wrong so far.Absoloute machine better than GAJ. Tom Mitchell the only one to beat his possessions record but Williams also kicked 6 goals.
In 1980 a soccer player took his spot as first rover in the granny in Bendigo for Golden SquareWilliams was the footballers footballer. What an amazing talent.
He was one of the first players to bring soccer midfield IQ to football. ahead of his time.
He has to be up there.
Not a shrine, just a raggedy doormat that he gives a knowing smile on the way into the house every day.I wouldnt be surprised if Dylan Grimeshad a Bruce Doull shrine in a secret room at his joint.PLAYERCARDSTART2Dylan Grimes

Are you bored?Absoloute machine better than GAJ. Tom Mitchell the only one to beat his possessions record but Williams also kicked 6 goals.
Multiple norms? Did he win one? Honestly don't know. Great player think people have forgotten how good he was. But cant say he was the best everNothing to do with this Williams won multiple flags brownlows and norms..
No current season stats available
Did win one, on his birthday (useless trivia that has stuck in my head for some reason).Multiple norms? Did he win one? Honestly don't know.
It can't be nice being irrelevant for two decades

Big 4 and always will be.
I'd have picked Robert Harvey from the 90s midfielders
Should’ve stayed at Geelong
Matera ahead of Harvey. You should have fond memories of him.
As they played totally different positions I don’t really see the point of the comparison
Both played midfield. Different roles sure.
One played on the wing the other was a ball magnet. The only thing they had in common I guess was that neither of them was a forward or a defender. Midfield I guess strictly by definition as they both played in the middle third of the field but that is about where it ends
Since when is the centreline not considered part of the midfield? When we talk greatest defenders of all time do we not consider Doull because he had a different role to Scarlett?
I would say the modern definition of midfield equates to ‘on baller’ even if it’s theoretically incorrect
