Either of Lockhart or Hore to release Salem and Rivers up the ground as much as possible. Ideally we can find a classy kick with a first round pick upgrade to play on the opposite wing to Langdon but I was intrigued enough by what Baker showed late last year to plug him in there for now, hopefully he can build up his tank and become a real gut runner. Needs to tackle a bit more too. Harmes forward hopefully gets Melksham out of the side or at least puts a rocket up him. I’m not sold on Hunt but equally I’m not sold on anyone else, and at least he’s sometimes fun to watch IDK. Would also love to draft another Rivers type general defender.

Our depth really is trash or injury prone trash. Sparrow around the mark, ANB/AVB in case of emergency, Petty I like but I don’t know if there’s a spot for him unless it’s as the second tall in defence if Tomlinson goes back to a wing position on a wider MCG, missing all of this year has really cost him a chance to build on the little bit he showed as a forward in late-2019. Needs a big year of VFL. We really need a Jason Taylor special with one of the later picks we have left after the Brown deal.

*Possibly replaced by draftee.
Our depth is f'ed, come on Taylor, do your draft magic and get us a couple skillful forwards.
Oliver/Tracc/Harmes should all rotate up forward and let Gus and Viney play permanent midfield. Hopefully a couple of them have big preseasons and break out (Sparrow, Spargo, Baker, Smith) and we continue to have some internal growth from our young guns. Not a bad list at all. Learn how to coach them Goody!

Agree with you. It is one thing to get list turnover but we also need turnover in our top 22. Brown is a great addition but for me your point is valid. Now we need a couple of draftees good enough to push into the 22. If we only add Brown to the 22 and nothing else Goodwin will need to perform a magic act in 2021.

Excactly, I actually have some faith that Baker can hold down a wing, thought he showed some signs late, particularly against GWS. It all relies on if the kids we draft can play round 1 and if our young brigade keep going through to push out the Melkshams and AVB and ANB and Jones that would be fantastic.

In light of TMac staying, might as well move him back to defence now and hope he can be a better second tall than his brother or Joel Smith so Lever and May can really get off the chain. I like a tall marking wingman so I'd like to see Tomlinson play there with the longer quarters to burn off opponents. Play Harmes as a tagger at as many centre bounces as possible to give the other mids a chance to win cleaner clearances, start Petracca I50 as much as possible to make the most of said clearances, rotate those two through the forward line and midfield while Oliver, Viney and Gus rotate off the bench.

Petracca goes forward and plays deep when Jackson/Fritsch need a spell.
Brayshaw and Viney are centre square rotations, Harmes either half forward or mid rotation.

Personally I am always a fan of playing first year players, providing they're ready for it. Hopefully 1 or 2 of our picks can put pressure on the likes of Spargo, Fritsch, Harmes, Brayshaw to be playing good football to keep their spots.

Don't want to see Vandenberg, Melksham, Baker, Sparrow, Jones until they are absolutely belting the door down.

Do you think TMac has it in him to prove the FC wrong in 2021 and have a crack?

I wouldn't mind seeing him at CHB which will free up Lever

Can't find too much wrong with this.

Looking at it again, we might want an extra defender as there's a lot of small-mid forwards in that side. Could maybe swap Hore in for Melksham.

Geez, looking at all these variations of best 22 and they're good suggestions.

Common theme, need more speed.
I won’t be upset if Lockhart or Spargo play R1 but ideally Baker or Hunt will force them out or we’ll have a line breaking defender/forward draftee or three to put pressure on them.
