So you freed up 2021 cap to try and lure Merrett from 2022 onwards? By god at least try and make the spin believable.

Merrett isn't going to a club that lures big names (Treloar), asks him to shuffle his contract around to help the club, then unwillingly shunts him out the door.
Congrats on your 2024 Pick up in Merrett

...

Contribute something will you
...

But it is da Bay theeeerrteeeen!
I cannot match your sense of humour.:$

All that money you saved... just to get under the cap!!! ....and NOW have to re -negiotiate the contract reduction to those poor unfortunates still left at Carringbush ....till they want out too!

You think
Returns from injury are huge
Sidey plays forward takes the shadows spot
Merrett free agent next year
Howe comes back ,Maynard or crisp mid
De goey back as a mid his best spot
Cox a preseason after being legally blind
Tyler brown putting on Weight
Seir maturing
Add 2 first rounders and reef
Pick up daicos next year

Dumping $2 million on 4 guys a year when 3 will be depth only
Getting out of sharenburg and beam's and reid and Varcoe

Super trade period
God help the dogs
Thanks North

yes you've nailed it

Merrett likely to go to a club who signs players on huge contracts and then *s them over to try and get rid of them later on.

excellent appraisal of the situation

We have a great recruit locked in

We went after
Lynch
Cameron
Gunston

Gunston b and f and wasn't going to move

Lynch more money than we could afford and connection with Prestia
(Both his parents still pies members and shattered at the time)
Cameron s whole home town pretty much supported the pies
Not far from Geelong
Doesn't want to live in a big city
And don't worry we were in it big time
Also asked dixon

So we need a key forward but maybe one of our Irish guys will come good
Ps
We also went after your full forward who's dad barracked for us a kid

No one else to get really
Himmleberg Adelaide. No
Fogarty no
Peter wright s a spud
Ben brown ditto
Coulda, woulda, shoulda.

If you're swallowing the PR that has been spun by the Pies then pity the fool.

After the last 24 hours, Pie supporters deserve and honest reason why you gave up 3 of your starting line-up for nothing more than a 1st rounder.

It truely staggers me with the BS that has come from the club.

Each to their own I guess.

Yeah, but it ensures they can still pay Beams. So, really it's:

OUT: Treloar
IN: Dayne Beams' kneecaps

I had to make the haiku work somehow.

How about

They're paying Dane Beams

Bucks was a bit rough on Stephenson, he kicked the winning 5th goal in the Semi Final.

Haven't seen old Spread cheeks for a while. Another victim of the Collingwood trade week fire sale.

Lolololololol

An online petition was launched on ipetitions.com in an attempt to gather support from enough members to push for the board to explain the club's rationale in a public forum as Treloar admitted at a media conference he had wanted to finish his career at the Magpies and was disappointed with the pressure applied to make him switch clubs.

With temperatures rising and Nathan Buckley describing the trades as necessary on Twitter, Collingwood football manager Geoff Walsh told Triple M on Friday morning the club's decision to take the aggressive approach that led to four players being traded out of the Magpies had come after their disappointing 68-point loss to Geelong in the semi-final at the Gabba."
