I generally agree and would much prefer a 198+cm KPD but watch his highlights, he reads the ball so well and marks the ball at the highest point with a vice like grip. The kid can play.

Can play, but there are serious injury concerns there.

Has missed most of the last two years or so, I believe.

This is true. He has done his right ACL twice, with the second one coming in preseason this year. It’s definitely a concern but I’ve been impressed with the way we’ve rehabilitated Setterfield, Docherty and Kemp in the past few years and he’ll theoretically be ready to play next year too.

Something to weigh up.

Walsh junior to be the tallest small forward of all time?

Up until now, that was Josh Jenkins...

With the picks we have and this year's draft being the way it is, it's the year to go selecting smokies. We've done our work already and have little to lose. If we go picking on exposed form for players who have already been overlooked for different reasons, I'll puke.

I may be wrong but I wonder if it will be more about what we want than who. A targetted approach that is about list rather than just the percieved best available.
Live trading affords us the ability to balance both, even reaching up into the first round if a seriously good player slides (eg. Thilthorpe).

Rather the type & player wanted. E.g. ruck and our choice is there, say H.Walsh
Small forward = our preferred target
Not just a reach for a player in a role that fits the bill for 2yrs.

My only pre-requisite for our pick is that it is not an in between type. Don't mind if it is a KPD or KPF but usually if they are any good they don't last until the late 30s. Therefore the genuine small forward or a mid we rate who slips could be the best option

Reckon we have enough project mids. A fullback would be my choice.

Kouta was an 'in-between' type, they don't always end up as undersized KPPs.
