Shaun McKernan

Kobe Mutch
McKernan now plays for St Kilda, he moved as a regular unrestricted free agent about a week ago.

Mutch has signed with a SANFL team for next year.

Dunno about Begley, Gown, Hibberd at this stage.

Essendon
Andrew McGrath and Kyle Langford won't be going anywhere after signing new deals, while they'll be keen to hang onto Marty Gleeson.
Henry Crauford
Marty Gleeson
Irving Mosquito
Andrew Phillips
James Stewart
Jacob Townsend
Stewart has a contract in front of him but his re-signing hasn't been announced yet. It's being treated like a foregone conclusion that he stays though, not like we can afford to lose any more 199cm forwards.

Gleeson has a one year option to extend that he's likely to take after exploring his options and coming up empty handed.

Mozzie looks like he's just signed some sort of extension for next year, but it hasn't been announced yet (smiles and thumbs up in that deleted pic of Essendon's whiteboard/recruiting office last week). He has an ACL injury so won't be playing in 2021, we are speculating that he might be moved to the rookie list due to list size constraints, not sure if he can be put on the inactive list before the draft.

Phillips doesn't have an offer in front of him last we heard, but isn't linked with anywhere in particular. Another one that might be moved to the rookie list due to list size constraints.

Crauford looks like he's been delisted, has posted on instagram about his short-lived AFL career.

Townsend is dependent on list numbers but is a rookie anyway so probably holds his spot at this stage, we've already cut off Hibberd and Crauford so have two rookie spots open. If we move Mozzie/Phillips to rookie then Townsend probably comes off though.

I reckon Harrison Macreadie would be a great pick up for another club. Could be a decent AFL footballer, through injury it just hasn't clicked for him yet. Worth a shot at a club like Essendon, Kangaroos, Port Adelaide which need more tall defensive depth.

Jacob Townesend has been delisted by the Bombres.

Premiership player - Low possession, high pressure, accurate goal kicker, but now unwanted by three clubs.

What do Richmond and Essendon fans, believe the reason he has not made it is? Purely talent? Off field issues?

Talent mainly. He's a coaches' pet, has a good attitude and goes hard, good role player. But just one of those players whose talent keeps them on the fringe for their entire career, there's usually a few ahead of him in every position he plays.

Sam Skinner should get another chance.

Wouldn’t mind the dogs looking at him. We’re light on for KPDs.

Possibly Collingwood too, if they want to try switch and play Moore in the forward line more often.

Unfortunately had a rotten luck of injuries
as you say.

Sam Skinner should get another chance.
I've mentioned him a few times in recent weeks. We actually wanted him just before Bailey Williams, but Brisbane jumped in ahead of us. Just needs a little bit of luck with injury.

Trengove might get a 1 year deal somewhere, the "good bloke" factor might get him across the line as a back-up ruck. It's helped McKernan get signed and kept Tom Campbell contracted.

Is there any other teams?
There was some talk Collingwood was looking at Jordan Galluci

Geez I hope not. Hopefully any link there is to just play with the Collingwood VFL side.

Also talk Collingwood are looking at Oscar McDonald. Not really a fan of Oscar but if it was as a rookie only (for KPD depth) I suppose I could get on board with that.

Toby Wooller is one that peaks my interest. I really liked him in his draft year (and was talk Collingwood were into him). What happened to him in Brisbane?Lack of opportunity or just not up to it?

To name some:

Matthew Scharenberg - good player when fit, would fit into a lot of AFL backlines
Noah Gown - not sure if there's something I'm missing here but has good numbers at VFL level and might develop into a good key forward
Jacob Kennerley - was highly credentialed and was close to making an AFL debut before this season
Jackson Ross - good goalkicker at VFL level, might have upside
Heath Shaw - might be done but with the soft cap cuts I think he could be a good playing coach for next season (and it'll help take his career to coaching)
Oscar McDonald - he's been awful in recent times but used to be decent and could provide OK defensive coverage
Fraser Turner - victim of depth I think, seems well credentialed and has the potential to be an AFL player
Ed Phillips - has a skillset that could appeal to certain clubs and is still young
Logan Austin - probably missing something here but I thought he looked good when he played
Ben Ronke - has had top-class games and can provide decent pressure, still young-ish
Lewis Jetta - might be retiring but if not he's still AFL standard IMO and should at least provide short-term impact for a club
Jackson Trengove - still decent depth, especially given he can fill multiple positions that are tough to fill

I also think a lot of the ex-Lions guys are borderline AFL standard or at lest are decent depth, reckon Skinner's a good fit for a club that needs talls and I feel like Allison and Cox have a bit of untapped talent.

Some of the North delistees could add decent depth (Daw), seemed like untapped talents (Ahern) or might be a decent roleplayer in the right circumstance (Williams) too.

I don't expect all of them to get picked up but I can see a few of them doing so.

Then he would have to go through the draft wouldn't he rather than DFA?
Depends on how generous Geelong are. There are examples of players with contracts on the board leaving as a DFA (Membrey, Newnes, Gray) so it's not a requirement.

I wouldn't count him or Lonie as examples even if it might happen.
