Looking at our strategy, if we were planning on going hollands for pick 1 i would have liked us to have made a play to get harry himmelberg across as he can really play and would fill the tall forward role we would miss not taking thilthorpe or mcdonald. He is still a good age profile and imo would have been a great fit for us if we could have gone for him
I think we still might try, that but this yr wasn't the time with Cameron wanting out we would've paid a very heavy price.
Hi folks,
Please excuse the intrusion but didn't know where to post this.
I have been offered Tyson Stengle as part of a complicated trade in a keeper league.
Do you see him as part of your best 22 and getting games in 2021?
Thank you in advance.
Risky..
I saw him out the week after the drugs saga.. let's just say he was a few drinks in.
He will be off the list real quick I feel.

This article popped up on afl.com. I don't necessarily agree with all the selections, but still a reasonable team on paper

Close, but I think Shoenberg just before Hamil. And I like Hamil.
Matt Crouch to Center
1 of Shoenberg / Hately / Keays to Follower (probably start with Keays)
Sloane to HFF
Sholl to Wing

Yeah .. I think I'd prefer Schoenberg in, and Kelly out. Push Hamill to HB and McPherson to BP. Agree with Sholl to a wing.

Yeah, I'd like to see Schoenberg and McHenry in there. Has no draft picks starting, either.

Kelly is the obvious cut, but no one else leaps out. ... Tex?

What do we do with Walker?

What do we do with Walker?
He is on the bench ATM, and I think that is about right. He still draws a defender and adds leadership and knowledge. We aren't going to win many so it's really down to does he add to the development of the Kids like Fog and Big easy? and right now being a foil and an extra voice is his role, His days of being a dominant forward are gone but I still think has has something to add. If he doesn't play we look way too inexperienced up forward.

And we all know MacKay will be starting 18 as well.

The side was about right.

Don't need Kelly in there, swap him with Schoenberg as we've got enough defender types in there.

We know Tex will play R1 even if he shouldn't but other than that I don't see much wrong with the side. Maybe Pick 1 comes in on the bench for him if we have the balls. We seem to play our first pick in R1 in recent years.

This article gives a little more background to list and TPP changes

Puts a couple of things in context. Explains why we didn’t move Mackay to rookie list if we wanted to keep him, and Also shows how important it is for Newchurch, and hopefully Borlace to make it to the cat B rookie list, as they wouldn’t be affecting our 42 limit.

Assuming Newchurch makes it to rooki but Borlace needs to go on main list, Hately in psd, and we pass on Edwards and go 38/4, then we can use 4 live picks and would the have 1 main list spot and 1 rookie list spot available for mid season drafts.

Looking at our Projected starting side is why I find all the pessimism about where we finish next year quite bemusing. That is a side that is definitely capable of winning 10+ games. Obviously it depends largely on injury, as our depth is certainly thin at this point, and on having a good pre season where Nicks can get his game plan properly integrated, but when you look at say the full back line of Doedee, Talia and Brown, then that is as good as any team has.

there are a few obvious mistakes, like Schoenberg will be in and Stengle is way ahead of Jones as a small forward, but generally I’m looking forward to seeing how they perform.

I'm quietly optimistic we'll see improvement. I think it'll be interesting to see any change in results going back to 20 minute quarters. I'd be happy with 5-6 wins tbh.

Also good that without injuries we'll see a bit more pressure on players for a spot

Any side without Schoenberg on the field in the middle is not worth looking at.
Will need a very big pre-season to be a starting midfielder in 2020. Tank needs plenty of work, hopefully he's putting serious work into that facet of his game in his break.

Hopefully get him the best personal trainer possible and get him as lean and fit as he has ever been and if that could hAppen he would be twice the player he has been over thelast couple of seasons
Also fix his shoulder so he attempts marks with 2 hands.

Unfortunately I think his best role is captaining the Sanfl & we should be getting games into Fog.
