Regardless of the choke; regardless of bowling at number 10 - that's a cracking delivery.

Wow just wow...

I reckon this puts the Stars in the box seat come Saturday. If the Heat had of won I reckon it would’ve been closer on Saturday night

The 2 taken on by Voll and Kimmince was one of the more bizarre bits of cricket I've seen given the context of the match and it had Kimmince running to the non-strikers end.

It had to happen eventually for the Heat with the way they play, but it was still hard to believe.

Hopefully that was the last we'll ever hear anybody utter the words "Laura Kimmince" and "Australian team" in the same sentence, I'd rather just watch and enjoy the show/trainwreck instead of having to criticise her for not being more than a one-trick local player.

Boy am I happy to see the fundamentals go a long way when it really counts. Great result for the league, too. And a more preferable final for the national team's long-terms prospects as the Stars/Thunder are the ones who have the actual future green-and-golders getting great experience in their teen years.

Should I ask who no1 is lol
I think I may have already mentioned the other day (or, perhaps, every other day) on here it's that young Healy whippet, maybe she'll get those cheap throwaways out of her game with a bit more top-level cricket under her belt.

Did we ever get a wide shot replay of the pitch to see what happened there?

I'd have to at least say Kerr was definitely in the wrong with her run out though. But for the Voll one... I'm feeling very reluctant to blame the first-year player.

Georgia Redmayne still has to perform that anchor role at ~75% of Mooney’s capacity before the Heat can even begin to dream about a three-peat.
Final count on this...

Redmayne 357 runs
Mooney 551 runs

... equals ~65%.

Though I've already admitted to pulling that number from nowhere, I must also admit she got much closer than I expected and so did the Heat.

I'll be intrigued to see what squad moves Brisbane make from here. Can't keep using an overseas spot on somebody who isn't getting a game. If Kerr wants a Kiwi to come over with her again, they could do worse than signing up her sister Jess. But their solid developing pace bowler stocks are already quite full.

A level-headed top-order world class batsman is what they really need. de Klerk (who did enough tonight to get brought back, turning out to be something of a semi-final specialist) was obviously one of the players to get the call up for this season after the BCCI decided to be campaigners. So that means the Heat probably had Harmanpreet Kaur or Smriti Mandhana on board, both of which make a lot of sense to me.

They lack a genuine 3 or 4, so a girl like Kaur would make sense actually. Jonassen is probably a position too high.

No we never did. Who knows what happened as we only ever saw the result.
