My first guernsey signed by a heap of the mid to late 90’s players is tucked away in a box back in Adelaide somewhere.

Just had a look through my 'North drawer' and found a jersey with the late 90s Kangaroo design with gold trim. It's recent, as it's got Mazda as the sponsor.

What is this and why was it made?

I have a copy of the "North Story" signed by the 1996 premiership team. It was a special commemorative edition or something. It also has my name listed in the back (along with many others). I think I was in the "Premiers Club" membership category, and everyone who had that membership got their name printed in the book. Pretty much guaranteed I had to buy it!

I also have scrapbooks with very old North Melbourne articles in them. I used to cut out articles and photos from the newspapers back in those days! That was when newspapers actually reported ‘news’ and they weren’t full of rubbish written by ‘journalists’ who actually think we care about their opinions.

I have an NZI Insurance North footy that I had signed by my favourite players. Unfortunately, it was stored in my parent's basement house for 20 odd years, it became deflated and the leather has no hardened in place in a crushed position. Somewhere I also have a footy of me holding the 1996 cup

Couple more from my home office . Signed framed Archer jumper and a Ross Faulkner blue and white footy from the mid seventies bought at the North Auction. Was smart enough not to kick it as a kid and some great signatures on it. Took it to Ross Faulkner’s a few years ago and they put a new bladder in it.
