He has to go past about 4 decent to good players to get a game as a defender. That isn't changing in 2022 either as none of them are old.Nothing wrong with him (or most draftees for that matter) developing in the WAFL for a year Joao. And then who knows what our defence looks like for 2022 or in what area or direction he develops. All academic anyway as it’s unlikely we get him.
Obviously he can do that, but it makes no sense because there is nothing wrong with our medium tall mix. Literally the last part of the ground we need more depth in and I would also argue that hardest to improve. If he comes, he has to train in the midfield or its a complete waste. He can't even replace Hamling or Pearce long term because he is too short.
