That would make him 18 and eligible. He was reported as 16 years old in June last year. Birthday in September, allegedly, everything else saying he is a 2021 draftee.
...maybe the WAFL website was wrong and they have scraped all the names from 2002 who played a WAFL or PSA game to qualify for the draft
Not sure about that. But we haven’t nominated him, so we aren’t interested. Don’t think official training has started. If Kobe Farmer is eligible for this draft would he even be allowed to train with Melbourne at the moment? Are Western and Walker allowed to train with Freo players at the moment?
If he really is in this draft pool he won’t have the luxury of choosing anywhere. Not even in the top 100 players in the draft pool.He won’t choose Melbum.
He has nominated for the draft and neither Fremantle nor Melbourne have placed him as an NGA or F/S. He goes to any club who takes him.He won’t choose Melbum.
I had him as a 2021 prospect but if his birthday is in fact September, he's a 2020 prospectIf he really is in this draft pool he won’t have the luxury of choosing anywhere. Not even in the top 100 players in the draft pool.
Bastyy you might know - is Kobe farmer a 2020 or 2021 draft prospect?
How did this get past freo , Melbourne footy fans & the media.I had him as a 2021 prospect but if his birthday is in fact September, he's a 2020 prospect
The article in the West from last year had him as 16 but he would have turned 17 last year.
He did ok this year, but not enough to get drafted, I was hoping another year at colts level could get him drafted.
Oversight on my part, but yeah, Farmer is this year and 99% chance to not be drafted
How did this get past freo , Melbourne footy fans & the media.
Lol.
Only relevant is he’s actually good? There is probably 100 other kids at a similar level around the country, only their names aren’t FarmerIf he nominates, and doesn’t get taken, then he can rookied in the SSP right?
may actually be a plan
It's in The West as well but both are behind firewalls.Found this on Jesse Motlop https://www.ntnews.com.au/sport/loc...s/news-story/5ce9838df6ebd745acfcd9180f4d5e81

Dockers prospect Motlop’s stunning senior debut
South Fremantle and Aquinas College’s 2021 draft prospect Jesse Motlop was rewarded for his stunning Northern Territory league debut on Saturday with a rising star nomination.thewest.com.au
He won’t choose Melbum.
Looks like McArdle and co (from The West) clearly got his DOB mixed up. There is no way any club should seriously be considering him given his form this year. And there is no way he'd be training with your mob if his name wasn't Farmer. Think he'd benefit a lot from a year playing State league - like Chris Walker (from our NGA) is doing. But good luck to the lad either way.Farmer to join pre-season training
Kobe Farmer will train with the Demons from Januarywww.melbournefc.com.au
Forgive the intrusion. Looks like Kobe Farmer (Freo NGA & Melb/Freo F/S) is training with Melbum this preseason with the hopes of getting one of our 2 available list spots in the upcoming SSP period.

The numbers don't look too shabby. If he's a tackling machine, the Dees could defo use that. Apparently the Farmer's have a house in Varra Valley VIC anyway.
He is a good tackler. Very quick and reads the game well but he’s super light so he’d be a speculative pick for down the track. Who’s he up against - who else do you have training with you?
